YAFI run to ZAFT for protection by allying themselves during war. YAFI realized their feeling invincibility was shuttered by NA. They realized LOS/iG merge is not a good move. They got the number but weaken them. How could you not be weaken if you trying to save a weak bunch. They realized the only way for them to keep illusion of invincibility is ally with ZAFT. That's why NA always say YAFI run to ZAFT. Just like former LOS/iG run to YAFI Dod you see what I did there i I compare former iG to YAFI Hahahaha
