  2. How exactly would an osw/pvp log work?
    Would it just be and endless log of every pvp hit made over a period of time or would it be put into more useable groups of data? Would the devs be able to even implement something like this? I'm just curious as its an interesting idea, just not sure how practical it would be.
     
  3. It wouldn't be hard to track hits and plunder. But It would require adding a system to off system wars. That usually doesn't get a lot of support.
     
  4. That was my thinking too Word, how can something that requires a system to log it be an off system war.
    Apart from showing battle hits etc on profile page maybe it could break it down into more categories to show pure pvp actions also.
    Wouldn't need a log then as actions can be tracked per individual.

  6. So it wldnt be quite off system ...but the problem with lying and the trolling that comes afterwards would literally almost disappear

    ...I don't know exactly how you would do it but something like the old clan war system scoreboard. So yeah you'ld have to signup for it but no rewards (no mith) or anything else (honor and pride only)

    Once your signed in you can't opt out of the scoreboard (even if you run) until clan leaders agree upon terms ..once terms are met both clan leaders have to approve (tap a screen or something) to end the scoring

    ...or give the power to stop the scoring to mods (or devs ...grant, miles, bruce whoever) both clan leaders contact the mod to stop it

    So yeah what if some coward dsnt want to sign up but troll-fight...

    ...well make it so EVERYONES battle stats are visible to EVERYONE that way someone dsnt want to sign in. Then all the opposing team has to do is SS the cowards battle stats

    Do both of these things all the OSW/PvP lies and most the drama and TOU violations that go along with it disappear

    ...i have ZERO problem with this I was literally begging for this years ago...

    ...no shame in my game I'll put it all out there for everyone to see, but I know most of you so called warriors would never approve of this.

    Expose too many of you for what you really are and would kill your OSW RP

  8. Lying, trolling, smack talking, and all the other "annoying things" are part of OSW. And a hit and plunder board is irrelevant, it's not a system war. It's who can work towards funding strips and be a thorn in the opposing sides side for longer.

  13. It used to be the case that the amount taken was independent of relative build size.

    Now I haven't finished testing different gold amounts out, but I've tested up to 500b, and for a similar size build, steals only take 0.1% now, as opposed to the previous 0.2%.

    In order to take 0.2% per steal, you must be at least 3x the stats of your target.

    That has a LOT of ramifications for strip planning and strategy, which I'll leave the end user to decide.

    Perhaps someone else can chime in who has done more extensive testing at higher gold tiers.
     
  14. So what you're telling me is that lb strips now take at least twice the steals? Hmm...interesting.

  15. Not twice as much, it takes 3-4 times as many steals to clear a strip on a BC account.

    Strip mechanics are an exponential decay function. You take more in the beginning than you do toward the end.

    So going from 0.2% per steal to 0.1% per steal increases the exponentiation by a factor of two, resulting in a significantly higher number of steals to clear (more than double).
     
  16. I think people should stop being scared of the big alliances, that's really it. For example apoc, yes they have numbers, they have funds, and some good warriors I'll give them all of that. But they don't have that quality factor (maybe in about a few clans or so but not all), all they have is quantity. So the big alliance thing isn't a big deal that's just a matter of people caring about fake gold and what not.

    There has been a lot of change for OSWs from HTE and events and there are pros and cons. The most annoying part of it is because clans can claim they are attacking the other but really they're pinning and hitting hte all day everyday. Then there is events, events are not too bad because they allow you to grow during osw but some individuals and even clans become more focused on events instead of targets. OSW will definitely never be the same but it's still pretty dang fun to strip and all that good stuff #LongLiveOSW

  17. ...it's too protect the spenders of course along with making the new BC so much higher lol before you could make a few accts and within months be hitting LB accounts ...unless you spend a TON of money you can't do that now

    It's their way of trying to limit big strips ...ATA losses money when big LB accts get stripped and those LB players quit
     
  18. Unfortunately, Todd, I believe this may have been partially my fault. I did make a thread petitioning the devs to implement a change to game mechanics to limit strip damage in order to prevent LB from leaving the game and cutting their source of revenue.

    The thread got a lot of negative feedback, but apparently my suggestion was implemented.

    My intent was to make it so that the game could be kept alive by the LB spending, while at the same time allowing strips to continue to be part of the game, but with a damage limitation.
     
  19. Duh ...you and a few others. See you suck butt to spenders now game isn't as fun anymore hope you're happy.

    ...but I'm sure buncha LBers complained too and of course ATA will protect their profits.
     
  20. They were making 500k a month back in 2011 long before HTE came out...

    ....let me ask you are you getting a piece of ATA profits? Prob not so stop giving them free advice at our entertainment/amusement expense lol
