Open Debate. T5 Hansel or T5 Atk for OSW

Discussion in 'Strategy' started by Waterr, Aug 13, 2012.

  1. If it's osw u need spies to strip ur target. Just pinning is useless. Both a hansel and an attk build can be easily stripped if they don't have any spy def fortress. A hansel with equal spy def is tougher to open for steals so may be come second... But in osw best build is pure spy no allies: u can sleep quietly!

  2. Pure spy is good for osw assuming your warring a clan without enough spy power to pin you 24/7. Pure spy is easiest of all builds to pin for sure.

  3. With new game mechanics is so much easier to strip these days. Add in mith and it's not even comparable to the old days. 

  4. No offense to those who posted so far...but was hoping to hear from players in longtime war clans .

I know your out there lurking 

  5. I've been attack build my whole kaw career with anywhere from 5-20 towers depending on system war or the clan I was against in osw. I do have an hlbc hansel alt. Sadly not with 5 trill Allie base .

I have my own opinions just wantin to hear others viewpoints. No offense meant buddy 

  6.  very interesting..

  7. About spy defense towers, what of the towers in question are the T5s? That's a hell of a lot of static defense.

  8. A hansel or pure spy is a lot harder to damage though than an attack build and would last a lot longer in an osw because of this

  9. Hopefully no one with allies would ever go pure spy. . But sadly I saw this in most of the summer wars I participated in.

While scouts do not burn Sdp, the fact remains that a hansels strength is its spies and they can be fully pinned to zero through scout.

Lasting in an osw is more about will power than build. A t5 hlbc warrior with 10 t5 sdt will not be a simple pin for any hansel. Those towers will crush your failed spy levels on failed assassinations.

  10. Also, a hansels bfa will be meaningless if it's spies are fully pinned. A t5 hlbc warrior will be able to hit many players effectively from pin because of the 5 trill Allie base we discussed and the fact that all you can do is take it to 20% attk troop levels through assassinations or attacks.

  11. no one mentions the hansels troops here? If the Hansel has 5t in allies and bought wisely, he ca have quite a mean troops force. He can quite easily assassin a troop build to dtw and then sit on the troops keeping them pinned with his awesome BFA..

  12. @steve. Hansel can only pin warrior to 20%. Meaning warrior can still attk out of pin 24/7.

  13. This thread is complicated

  14. From what I've read so far I'd say the best build is attack with sdt...

  15. Although once you start hitting ebs having towers suck.....

  16. Yes it does. I had 20 of them at one point. Lol. I slept well though 

  17. Sleep in an osw is always nice

  18. The key thing is devs have said they have changed the algorithm on spy an attack on T5 making spy def stronger ; about time I say , so we wait and c how this pans out but attack builds mainly have say 5 ToC with the new spy def we shall c how this pans out

  19. It seems to me that with enough bfa attk build with towers is the way to go. For players with minimal bfa hansel is the best choice for osw.
