Has anyone who sent feedback received any sort of definitive reply from the devs yet? If you can't beat 'em and all that..
I'm thinking of changing my bank into 1.2m/1.2m/400k/2m, 6 Colony, 20 towers and 23 guilds. I done some research and found its makes 25m a hit, and drops to 22m. Pretty much just a small guild hansel's plunder. Pretty sure it'd work good. But then again, look at Ryan in A n D's last war, 240 mith or so, he's truly invincible.
Holy hell thats a strange build. However if youre earning enough mith to buy greaves in a single war..
Yep it is, that's what I was thinking, I wanted to be small, but somehow a guild hansel that can grow fairly good, as spies would also pay in eb, but have mechanics of tower build. On full DP it would get 43m a hit, and it would be able to grow faster than normal tower builds who get 30m or so a hit, since the build has spies that actually pay good. Therefore it's able to stack up in Good BFA allies, like the one I currently own.
Ryan is pretty much invincible, 5m static SD, plus his BFA, no one can assass him down, so he can 2 hit constantly all war.
The fact that we now see clans filling up with towers says it all... One or two tower builds can be dealt with (unless you're silly enough to keep flailing away at a strong build in hopes of ko) .. but a bunch like that are changing the game for the worse... Ee wars are fun and the tower builds are ruining them. At a minimum, the mechanics need to change to offset the power imbalance, or ee wars are doomed n we can all go back to eb madness...
Tower builds aren't going to leave. I personally love them and will convert once hlbc (waiting so that I make better $$$) but I must admit when u look at some of the big builds with them. ie. -IMF- and RYAN you just can't compete with that. Now I know ppl with $ will always have an advantage but the advantage anymore isn't just an advantage it makes u invulnerable. So I ask for EE that devs hold true to their word of no dtw. I know this goes against my previous statements but I've viewed and studied this more and it's where I stand.
can "tower" builds not be hit even with gold out as long as spys are pinned? if they have to have 0 gold out to not be hit then i dont see what the issue is, for as soon as they hit someone they will have gold out and be open ! what am i missing?
Tower builds cannot be hit with spies pinned If they have zero out they cant he hit. Even without spies pinned.
if thats the case then full support to joe_ thats bonkers that they can hit with impunity with no chances of come backs. as a hansel my troops have to be completely pinned to stop hits on me and if i have spys im open to spys actions aswell. also in these ee wars even with 0 gold out im open to attack builds when i have troops.
My own opinion on tower builds is that I do not like them. You should be able to hit your opponent. True, you need a decent Bfa to make a tower build work properly, but if you have a decent Bfa, you shouldn't need to be insulated from hits. As I survey the entire game field and review the different builds, it seems that the tower build will cause more frustration thst fun for the majority of players in this game. I'm also concerned about the proliferation of tower builds in this game. I've seen multiple people stating that they cannot a lot to build one. Honestly, building one when you have all your lands is remarkably easy. 250 billion and you can convert your low lands to a tower build. This will, over time, lead to a type of turtling, which is what the new mechanics of war created to kill
I figured you'd eventually come around, Moose. Thank you for an insightful and well thought-out post. Furthermore, I would like to call into question the developers' quest for balance. I recall when buildings were boosted one way or another to achieve a balanced game, as at the time, it was dominated by pure spies and pure attack builds. Long-term, does the hansel/Tower Build situation currently before us not directly end with exactly the same imbalance we faced just over two years ago? Are defensive "attack" buildings not given a 5% boost to ally plunder as a direct result of this EXACT type of phenomenon? The continued proliferation of exploits, lack of dedication toward balance that the developers crave, and the cash-grab, instant gratification mentality aren't helping matters. Decreasing the cost of tier 4 buildings and revamping the war system were a good first step, but if true balance is the goal, we've got a ways to go. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm not the biggest spender on the block, nor will I ever be (I don't even aspire to be, tbh), but I am a consumer of a product, as is every player in Kaw. I am but one man, only the will of the community can change this, not just me or anyone on this thread alone.
This thread actually started as a virtual mirror copy of the email I sent to support. They have responded, though not at great length. As support or dissent grows, we may, in fact, see actual change. That said, there is only so much I can do as one player. This is a community issue that will literally live or die with a community response.
i read first post only. my response: Boo hoo. Might as well ban spy builds too. ATA doesn't give a ****. Just keep paying them and stfu.
Joe_ you may be just "one man" but you strive to create balance and fairness thus, attracting a large crowd of people much like you. People like you make this game run well through selfless acts such as this one.. I applaud your efforts and wish you the best of luck. This issue needs to be checked thank you.
When I first saw this thread yesterday, I thought it was just pointless whining. But, earlier today, I was in an estox war, and there was a turtle on the other side. It was only then that I realized the only way to hit him was with assassinations. He was extremely difficult to KO, and it made things very difficult. I know understand what you mean.
Taka had yet another landslide victory today. Congrats. 109b to 13b. An 8 to 1 victory. I'd like to stress at this point, that the victory was 100% due to strategy and activity. The fact that the 37 KO's (yes, 37, not a misprint) of the 2 top plunder winners has nothing to do with the fact that they were tower builds. That is just pure coincidence... At this point, I'd suggest that the devs sit on their hands. If they leave this long enough, they won't need to worry about server lag during EE. Participation will likely drop to a level where lag won't be the problem..
