On Tower Builds...

    The Estoc Trials came and went, and developers are still making adjustments.

    I am only here debating this because I want to see fairness.

    This build is an exploit that is out in the open now. Slowly, those who want to become EE war masters, raking in 100 plus mith per war, will switch to this build.

    If they squash the mechanic and make the DTW go away, they will not.

    Again, Taka is beyond just "tower builds". I gave you props multiple times, and still maintain that you are all talented, coordinated fighters.

    Eventually, clans will swap over if this isn't nerfed. And war will be a snooze-fest.

    I don't think that's what devs were aiming for with this new system.
     
  5. I am going to say this and willy will know how much it hurts but I agree with him on this ... I have said this multiple times I have no problem with the build in osw or pvp I only have an issue with it being dtw in ee wars ... Static def is fine and recommended for war as a whole this is a problem only in EE wars where dtw should have been eliminated
     
  6. Lol sorry guys i just read forum and agree that in ee wars it shouldnt be dtw! Thats y they designed ee wars for no dtw ko system.

  10. Pretty damn broken, but I've known about this build LONG before it became a popular war build. I knew a deviation of it before T5 that pretty much had the same "Exploit" it's definatly not new.
    Very curious to see whether or not it will be patched, or just accepted as another game mechanic.

  11. I stopped reading after page 5, but I agree with Joe_ this is something that will become an issue the longer it lasts, the problem is coming up dtW when you have troops, who cares about EE. PvP in general is already lacking. This as a loophole bassically means replace the battle list button with idk another chat button? Cuz over time tower builds will be as common as spy alts. Everyone will have one cuz they can't lose, lame. What happen to mains and attack builds?
     
  12. tower builds can still be beat it just takes enough spy bfa to be able to assassinate them down
     
  13. I have no idea why people are so butt hurt over this. Early in EE wars we fought faith (CG-tower build) and LEARNED about this mechanic this way. After we warred them no one complained but instead were eager to learn about this 'build' that had significant war advantages. And after researching a bit I converted to tower build. For all you whining about the build, it has significant negatives (most notably plunder truly sucks). So as with anything in kaw there are trade-offs.

    Are you looking for everyone to have the same builds or at least identical features? If that were the case I would quit immediately because it takes any strategy out of the game and turns everyone into mindless drones without ever having to 'think'. If you complain about this then why not complain about the plunder gap between hansels and attack builds-or why pure spies can't be attacked unless gold out-or why hybrids are dtw to attck builds under certain conditions?

    I-as someone who got 'beat' by a tower build-am grateful that these differentiations exist in the game-it keeps it interesting and significantly increases strategy as a component of winning.

    And by the way-it's not that tough of a build to get to unless there is high bfa-and if there's that high bfa chances are most people aren't going to be successful on hits anyway.

    I am convinced there are other builds out there that are 'yet to be discovered' or relatively unknown. And I'm looking forward to finding out what they are ;). Without EE the 'tower build' would still be relatively unknown and the repeat button would be taking a beating on ebs. So thanks devs. I think ee has been a HUGE positive addition to kaw. If anything I would say INCREASE the complexities/advantages/disadvantages based on builds.

    All you butt hurt tower build haters....looking forward to warring ya

  15. The point is if this mechanic exploit is aloud to stay everyone will have tower builds for EE war ... All EE will be filled with them all the same build

  17. Ok. So you say a clan of tower builds and spies could go almost unscathed in EE wars. Unlikely but true it could be possible. But wait. A clan of full spies who use one lowlands building to xtal, pin, then, steal, and bank would be tough too. Oh a clan of hansels too. What if s clan of hansels were to war, they could immediately pin all opposing hansels and then keep gold banked and be virtually unhittable all war as well Again it's the mix of builds and a clans ability to adapt strategies to overcome them that makes the game fun and sets apart good war clans from button pushers.
    Another disadvantage of a tower build is. All of us know that majority of KO from EE wars come from scout or spy actions. So as a tower build. Your usually scouted to 0 every regen to begin with, or you self zero spies to be dtw. Ever try to KO your enemy with one regen of spies? It sucks. Another trade off you must consider in the build
     
  18. The fact that there is any dtw at all is wat the problem is ... Ur suppose to be able to take bars to zero if I can't hit u at all then there is a problem with the system as promised ... A hansel has to pin his troops to be dtw .. Or can be scouted to zero and assassinate the last few hits ... And can be open to other builds his type .. Tower builds have no such counters ... As I said before if this problem is not fixed for EE wars u will see all war clans filled with these builds .. One build type for all ee wars and where is the strategy in a mechanics flaw..
     
  19. And u don't need to ko ur enemy to win EE wars just build up plunder ... Ko was meant as a reprieve for the winning side and to take people out for a bit ... But why bother closing ur target when u have no danger of incoming atts .. Leave them up and feed all day
