Meat is too expensive. I usually eat moose or deer roast/sausage. Add a couple potatoes and a fresh salad.
Wild meat is better for you anyway. I had a moose roast a couple of weeks ago and eat bison on occasion
No Typical dinner I would make if you came to my place for dinner: steak, lobster, prawn, watermelon salsa, corn on the cob ️
You must live on the coast if you're getting seafood so often. Anywhere else it's ungodly expensive and often not fresh enough to be worthwhile
If I can't get fresh, then it's frozen since a lot of seafood is packaged at sea so it's usually not too bad @Charlie: he is a super cute bacon lover!!!
I can't get decent seafood. I ice fish, and the northern pike is the only real fish I can stand. Fish in store is too "fishy"
There aren't any lakes containing char near me. We have pike, pickerel, gold eye, trout, and sturgeon (for sport catch and release(they're endangered)
I love beavers!!! We have a family of them living by the river where I hang out!! They eat a lot of wood
We hunt beavers and blow their dams up with anfo. There was a bounty on them a few years back. 20 bucks a tail. Was great cash. You blow their Dam up and when they come to see what happened you shoot em. Good way to spend a weekend
That made me sad. We are struggling to make sure our little beaver family stays alive, especially since we are encroaching on their natural habitat.
