It appears that the world is ending. Panic, please. Someone. We have no control of our threads, omg. Send halp.
I think I'm actually laughing right now. editon't blame your retirement of the game on something so miniscule. You were disillusioned after years of play like everyone else.
Op, if you've ever had admin privilages on these types of forums you'd notice that the reporting feature is much more convenient, and effective, for the mods to respond to than waiting for one to browse your thread. And much faster than tracking down a mod that happens to be active.
I've noticed so far that the Devs have been quick responding to reports. And having been kicked off threads without breaking the ToU but having to leave just because a mod who didn't understand the rules said so shouldn't be a problem anymore. As long as this new policy goes as it should. Things should be black and white now. A post either breaks ToU or it doesn't. We have the chance to moderate the forums and keep them clean in a faster more efficient manner as many current mods don't have a strong presence here. I like the new rule.
Lmao no need for all the hostility. Just conveying my opinion. Is fine for others to like the change. Im not trying to force my opinion on anyone
This change is meant to have more accountability for each player's individual posts, and hold them accountable to the Forum Code of Conduct. While at first glance it may not seem to do that by preventing you from forcing people out of your threads, it's actually quite the opposite. In the past, when a thread owner asked someone to leave the thread, it was just that, a request. If they did not leave all the user could do is report them for their disruptions. In this situation, self-moderation rarely works as those who truly want to cause trouble can just ignore the request. Now, if someone violates the Forum Code of Conduct they're reported and dealt with as per our policies, which should hopefully teach them what kind of content is and isn't allowed. Hopefully this makes sense
Thanks for the clarification. Whilst I'm not a fan of this update, it appears to have fair reasoning and the majority of players seem to be enjoying it. Feel free to lock ️
It's definitely a change that may take some getting used to, but our hope is that it makes the forum a much more welcoming place in the end as actions have much more understood consequences. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on the situation though and listening to feedback moving forward to tell if it's working.
