Op, I'd say go with what Mango said. Explore first 4 highlands and put level 4 guilds on them. After that, go back to lowlands and replace all t2 or t3 buildings with t4 buildings, one at a time. Start with the t2 buildings. Try not to mix offensive troops with defensive troops, as it is inefficient. 2 balanced buildings are better than 1 defensive + 1 offensive troop buildings. Don't even think about messing with SOS until you are finished upgrading rest of the lowlands.
Not a developer made site, open to many flaws. It also says that I need only 2b to be at max plunder... So no, def towers do not increase your plunder.
He's confused about what the difference is between defensive troop buildings and defense towers. Defense towers do not have troops or any plunder what so ever. Defense troops do, but you are still better off as balanced if you look at the big picture.
don't bother finding "the" best build to start with ... learn by making some mistakes ... ... the worst of all mistakes is selling a T4 lvl 2 while you wanted to upgrade it to lvl 3 ...
... from what i've been abble to understand, i made a slight mistake on my first move, when i built TL instead of COE. Is this right? Should i replace it before it's too late? I have been reading that mixing TL with COE is not a bright option and i see every more inclined to building COE, so it would probably be the wise choice...
You can mix COE with other buildings, it won't hurt. Just try to avoid mixing defense and offense troops. You'll probably want the bulk of your troops to be balanced. One thing I've learned though, if you get in a fight you will want all the firepower you can get.
