New Server

  1. LL War test is fine IMO
I'm BC but want war to be fun n enjoyable for all n willing to try anything. As long as the effort is there n continuing improvements done I'm cool.

Eb's n events aside as long as the devs keep in touch n work out war issues is good.

As for a new server i see Ops reasoning but its also a business decision for ATA n also how it would effect present day KaW. Thats up to the devs n prolly unlikely I'd guess.

  2. I play another game also that's I'd say 95% pvp. The difference being on each server 'X' amount of players join a single world map. These players are free to make any alliances / clans they want. Also all the kingdoms are actual tangible things you can kill and take over. Each server I've been on has lasted maybe 2 years but they release a new server almost monthly AND all of your achievements travel from the other servers. So my account shows I've been in the winning alliance of 4 servers so far making me a coveted recruit and or enemy to be killed ASAP any server I enter to and personally I love it that way. I've joined other servers literally just to follow people and kill them off another server. At the same time people have gotten so pissed at me they've grouped up and gone onto servers I'm on to destroy me.

Am I saying KaW become like that? (I wish) No. I'm saying new servers offer new opportunity. I think we should have at least one other server but make it so account name is same in both servers. Then our grudges can carry over while they are weaker still. Hence PvP will prevail in the beginning and hopefully also balance it out for awhile.

Also I am also of the belief of screw releasing all the lands in the other server. We didn't need Hoarfrost here IMO and we're better off without it. Same with Abyss. Releasing of both of those made a TON of players quit.

  3. Towards having other servers just to have secondary fronts of battle, the KaW-like apps ATA released acted something like this where clans would bleed over, or where one clan would retreat to one of the other apps, etc. PiMD is still running, though I don't know what it's like these days. To a less similiar game, S.M.A.S.H. is around as well. It's no-where near a KaW clone, but you might find familiar faces and rivalries hiding behind different names.

  4. Thats not the point though. I want to play this game, not other games.

I also think devs could kind of reintroduce this game as it was earlier on (Lowlands only) with what we have now (Modern EE, Events, etc.) And with having the CS minimized across the board it would encourage A.) Primals, B.) PvP for all players old and new across a more even playing field and C.) With proper advertising it would encourage more new players to be in a more new player friendly environment and to grow with that environment.

I understand why some are resistant to this but the reality is if this was done correctly you add an ENTIRE potential new player base to this game. That is more valuable than ANYTHING devs could do here in the game as of now.

  5. I see the possibilities 

Currently with eb/event dominant it'd be nice if say a new server catered more to warring.

  6. This reintroduction, would it be a separate application, or a complete rework of this application? If it's the first, then it's just a modernized version of KaW Classic, which got thousands (at least over a thousand in the topic alone without bragging) of supporters, but amounted to not. If it's the second, I think the developers would have an easier time selling a new method to fast-track to build complete that skips months of work over leveling down everyone. See: World of Warcraft and giving people fast-tracks to max level on new accounts.

  7. What's it called? :O

  8. Follow me and I can tell you. Not going to throw a name out in forums.

  9. Id say a rework. I know the WoW thing you speak of and honestly that would work in this game except every time that's mentioned you get all the BC people crying like "OH WOE IS ME, I HAD TO WORK FOR EVERYTHING I GOT AND WHERE I AM. WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH. WHY YOU NO LOVE ME NO MORE?" Instead of being open to increasing honest competition.

  10. Yes those who are BC worked for it and enjoyed the process that is part of the game.

Many long running games make it common practice to reduce the XP needed to level to max after ______ time frame.

Why after so long do we not discount HL lands cost by 80% and buildings by 60%. hf lands by 40% and buildings by 30%.

T4 on LL shouldn't cost more than 1b to fully upgrade. The stats LL provides compared to the cost? If this move is about retaining new players then you HAVE to make the rewards worth it to them. If the goal is to get people to at least HLBC you have to make it something a casual player could accomplish in a few months.

People leave and come back the more often they leave the less money they are likely spending on the game. Whales can only keep you floating for so long.

  11. HLBC is already easily obtainable within a few months of playing

  12. HLBC is barely anything in this game as is now. Thats why that route isn't the proposed one but rather an additional server.

The reality being that even if you we're given HLBC to start the gap between LCBC and that is still astronomical and daunting. The entire reason for a new server is kind of to create a new beginning. With advertising THAT could bring in tons of new players.

  13. I hate cats

  14. Same:3

  15. Reseting the server hurts more than it helps. Now if you allowed a second server & allow multiple accounts per device (2 one for each server) & allow players to go between servers I could see it being a positive thing.

  16. If players can go between servers in your suggestion, but can have one account for each server, are you saying they can have two accounts on one server per device, or are you saying the two accounts switch servers with each other? Also, if accounts can move between servers freely, what is the point of the second server?

  17. What I'm suggesting is allowing a second server so players can choose to start fresh. While being able to send their main accounts over to help out as needed. Lb strictly, limited to accounts started on the new server. While allowing 2 kaw apps without breaking Tou rules of conduct.

  18. Do you mean only the leaderboard can't bring their accounts to the new server? That still allows a ton of wiggle room. Plus, with the ability to move accounts between servers, any new accounts on the server will be just a less-active version of what's currently here. If you want a fresh start, you can always reset your account.

  19. The entire point of a new server is a new beginning. To be able to bring over accounts from the first server would be absolutey abused before the first OSW went off.

The primary function of the new server would be A.) To create a new limited (Lowlands only at release) format for the entire player base.

    This would serve many functions.

    -Everyone is starting anew.
-Primals would be relevant due to LCBC would only be LLBC
-The massive gap between veteran players and BRAND NEW players would be fairer for awhile to BRAND NEW players.
-KaW Server 2 would have almost everyone within hit range of everyone while it is Lowlands only
-It might actually encourage more players to come to KaW Server 1 also

    To be clear also,

If they did open a new server as with MOST other MMOs that have multiple servers when you first log in the only difference would be an additional step to select which server you're logging onto. So rules adjustment would simply be 1 account per server per device.

  20. Or make it take less than a month and encourage people to grow faster/easier which will also help your ally market shopping

Hmmm is that a new player in their third week or a 3 year old inactive account......

(Yes there are ways of telling that now, this just makes it "easier")
