I think my biggest issue with this is the banned words which are NOT profanity. At least not in any language I have learned. Is there any way we can get a list posted somewhere of all the other words aside from swears that are banned so we can adjust our vocabulary according to your wishes?
This has to be one of the most ridiculous things you've done to this game. Do you seriously think this will stop people from saying "prohibited words"? I do have to thank you, devs, though. I've always been a proponent of linguistic prowess. This new thing will inevitably make people to find new, more creative and even more offensive words and phrases to replace the "prohibited ones". Those who lack the means, will most likely bypass even more than before. May the mods bless them. What makes this even more annoying is that your censor list is kind of overly sensitive, reacting to words that are quite benign, but just happen to have a "prohibited word" as part of them. Not only will this make normal communication difficult, but it also will alienate your loyal customers. Please stop this nonsense. Let us use our common sense of right and wrong and let the moderators deal with those without sense. Or maybe just make this game 18+ and be done with it.

Are you really willing to let some authority to dictate what vocabulary you can and cannot use? Don't sell yourself short. You have the right to express yourself, and the people in power have the duty to make sure you don't break the TOU. It shouldn't be your job to compare your every word against some list. It's not 1984! Fight for your right to speak (within reason) freely!

Re: New The right to self-expression is recognised world-widely in all civilised societies as one of the most important basic rights. Your lack to appreciate the fact doesn't diminish it. Let me ask you, what will you have left when your vocabulary has been taken away? How will you express yourself? And more importantly, what will be next? It is ATA's decision to dictate what can and cannot be said. What I'm trying to say is that the players have a voice too. ATA should treat people with respect and also trust. We all make this game what it is, together. If you alienate the literate portion of it, who do you have left? You're correct in that not all people exercise common sense. That's what we have the moderators for. And they are doing a great job as it is. We don't need this. Once again, this is not 1984.

What I'm saying is that censorship as it was is adequate. Maybe give mods the right to punish those who type ***** into the WC. I'd be ok with that. I want to see proper profanity in this game just as little as you do. However, this new thing just annoys people. And this becomes clear when you read the previous comments in this thread. We can all agree that profanity doesn't belong here. But is this really the way to do it? No!
