My Feedback on New Chat Filter

  2. Bypassing is pretty silly, I agree.

    As I discussed with some people earlier, I'm able to sympathize with people who feel annoyed by the new change. After all, by its very nature this filtering update is a change that takes away freedom rather than giving more freedom to the users, and people tend to get stuck in their ways and have difficulty adapting to change. Heck, even if people are easily able to adapt, this is still a fundamental change to the communication between clan-mates - I totally understand why people aren't necessarily big fans of the update.

    That aside, what really IS the big deal? Why do we NEED profanity? I can't think of a single instance where this filter would stifle comment or thought that could not be expressed in a similar or more effective way without the use of profanity.
