This is a perfectly fine reason to not mute WC. But if it were to have a toggle for each player to show or not show wc, would be helpful for those warring
You got the idea from me? Bravo. Evidence: Posted in "assistance needed thread" about muting wc. 13 mins later. Its here. Cool.
Kaw / ata is the first and last game / company I've seen make people spend just to speak to everyone else in a open chat. Even smash doesn't make you spend to speak in wc. Who honesty buys speakers to speak in wc anyways? I hardly doubt it's a revolutionary money maker for the game, even wa isn't widely used, mostly just mods with 5,000 speakers. But unlike kaw and that other game we don't talk about, every game that doesn't make you spend isn't filled with ads but is more talkative. Which is why it's lead me to believe that the sole reason for the ads taking over wc is due to people having to spend with a 5 speaker regen a day. Devs will say it's used to prevent spam, but really people that have the goal of spamming will do so if they really wanted to with the current system.
The high price of speakers make pro packs more valuable. Smash and meego have a no speaker limit due to their small user bases, if wc is active it makes the game look more popular (+ friendly and addictive) than it actually is.
Wouldn't really call 0.69p a high price. And only android users get speakers iPhone users get nobility points 500 for biggest pro pack, but android also gets xtrals included, I've not checked but I believe it's in the 20-50 mark along with a great deal of speakers. I was mainly quoting games like coc and rod. And coc is everywhere but ata is a miss. but when you look at other social apps like pal it's partially free to talk to anyone only making you pay when you exceed your group limit of 15~16 groups and your wanting to join more. They other social apps have a free wc but make you pay for pms.
on an Idevice you still see world chat messages at the bottom. you have to open the interface to see what the tracker has said which is time consumingg and in war 'every second counts'. without wc in the chat box at the bottom - you could see what the tracker calls wothout having to open the interface.
How about players can mute them to just themselves. Not sure if this is what op is saying or not. But, other people and still see the posts.
game ɡām/ noun 1. a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck. Ya no.
So, I think that OP only means that WC would be muted for the person that clicked the button to do so, not everyone else. I see no problematic issues with this idea, if that is the case. I completely support as I mainly play mobile and have a tiny chat screen where clan chat zooms by.
