I think with BC hansels being so big, the average OSW'er (meaning non-BC, non-Ally LB) need a ridiculous amount of towers to be effective. Rather than forfeit so much plunder, they just don't build towers that have lost their effectiveness. Disclaimer - my build is jacked-up I know. I was converting to hansel. I changed my mind mind mid-conversion and am left with this ridiculous build.
Towers don't make one effective really. Maybe in ee. In pvp however it's even otherwise. It weakens offensive part of ur build. One has to have quite a bit of towers ratio for opponent troops to be effected significantly. Meaning, attacker will lose much more troops/spies whacking against your towers, which can be used in effective ways during osw. But you gotta have something else to compensate for the strength loss - good bfa or bfe, or better both, reset bonuses on top of that is even better. Unless you are close to bc/bc/holding bfa I wouldn't recommend it tbh. I had adt since 2011 but it's the last thing I build or upgrade every time new land or levels come out. Like I said, tb was great not cos of high defense but mainly cos of newbs not knowing how to strip it lol
No point now. Before tb mechs were fixed it was a good front liner for strip wars. My bank was one of those tower builds to show up in ee trails. I had high bfa and best bfe in game at that time. Plus no one could figure out what to do with my build so during the whole season I have never been ko'ed on it lol low plunder per hit but I was attack ko'ing left and right so having top plunder was easy. Hence all the nubs whining lol The clan I was in during these trails never lost a war when I was there. Zaft was greatly bothered mainly because they kept matching us lol I don't think it was an exploit. It had mechs opposite of hansel. If so then hansel is exploit too. Should kaw be the game of attack builds only? Wouldnt it be boring? Tb had its own weaknesses and could be easily defeated if fought properly.
I also remember apoc started to ee with a bunch of those builds and people called their clan undefeated. Then we matched apoc, and I was the only tower build against like 5-6 of theirs. We won. Which proved that it can be defeated and that it wasn't really an exploit.
@stevemeyerhoff People have been exploiting the game for a long time. RZT was dtw or become so when stripped 24 hours a day for months. Then he had a "surgery"...and was stripped clean off the LB. If you have concrete proof of cheating, you should show it to the devs so they can take proper action. I'm guessing you don't have any, or you would have already. .
@ blazey: I'd say the "acquisition store" which is non dev approved has as big an impact on keeping osw alive as ally spells. Either which way; the game evolves and ppl seek advantage through various means/methods whether available within the game or otherwise. @ zero - im not on to trash talk. Not my style. I know what I know. I know my view on it. I know what the devs say about it. I choose to carry on playing. It doesn't really matter.
Hi, Sky I agree with you as I also think towers are stronger than ever. Bye. [bbcodegodzmakedissmallerpls] I copied your format, Sky. I am not gay. Do not cry. [/kthnxformakinfetsmallerwinkwink]
Respect to Steve. I feel the exact same way. The acquisition store has been visited by many across all alliances. Devs don't care, so why should we. A bought account through nobs is no different than one bought at the so called store. @Blazey. It's not an accusation. It was a proven fact. He even cried about it in a 3rd party app. He was gathering people to complain to the Better Business Bureau. It's ok though. He's still alive and playing. It's just funny because you know that I know that you know the truth. Yet here we are. I'm sure we will see him scamper on this thread or his wall soon. You've got to keep appearances after all.
