I disagree with the last part. Veganism is stupid. Vegaterians however are ingenious. Why would vegans not eat milk/eggs etc. They do not harm the animal in anyway and would otherwise go to waste. In fact for some animals they need human assistance. If sheep aren't shaved and cows not milked they can become ill/infected.
I disagree with the 'inhumanity' clause of veganism, as I don't see them getting all grumpy when a tiger tears apart a hyena or a deer (hypocrits much?) That said, although eating meat is tasty it is a huge waste of resources and generates large amount of wastes - think of the millions of acres required in Monocrops alone just to keep them fed. Add to that the water requirements and the rise of antibiotic rejection of strains of bacteria due to rise of use of antibiotics and you have a bad scenario waiting to happen. (Ps: be a good consumer eat hot dogs!!)
It was in fact an angel, sent by Almighty God, to Peter. The angel said to Peter, all of which you see before you, you may eat. This included all meats and all vegetations.
Animals have been eaten since the dawn of man (and the dawn of species in fact) . It's called predator-prey relationships. Grow up you hippy and go hug a tree
Frog. Yes, current ways of meat plants may be ignorant. I don't think it's right to inject chickens with steroids so they grow faster, but it's not all like that. However, there are tons of small farms in rural US that use farming as a means a of living. They butcher their animals, save enough to live on, and sell the rest. There is nothing wrong with this. The US is a free country. You call me a moron, and then use killing someone as an example. Which makes you look like a moron. Just because we are a free nation doesn't mean we are an anarchy and can do what we want. There has to be some limitations. For instance, killing and robbing people. Having said that we need limitations, I don't think outlawing meat as op stated is a good decision. Even restricting meat consumption is ridiculous. Fast food, candy, potato chips, and soda are far worse for our society than eating meat. Yet we don't restrict them. Why? Because it's not someone else's choice to make. Nobody has a right to tell me I can't eat meat. Just like they don't have a right to tell me I can't own a gun, hunt game, pick a certain career, shop at a certain store, etc. We live in a time where the government needs less power. They are already over stepping their boundaries in the private sector, especially with healthcare. I don't think letting the government regulate meat consumption is a good idea. Could restricting large companies from injecting chemicals in animals to make them grow faster help? I'm sure it could. But it's not their choice really. It's our job, as people, to monitor what we eat. If someone wants to eat chemically enhanced meat, let em.
  When will ppl stop trying to control others...the idea that meat would be illegal n a country where its constitution dictates that guns are a birth right LOL yea right. Please everyone stop bring your ideas and opinions on what others can and CANT do to kaw...go to debate club for that ridiculousness. Opinions are great but leave them at what they are...opinions. Ppl for some reason believe that this is the place for pushing ideas on others...WRONG. And to the person who said it was biblically wrong to eat meat...all I can do is laugh at that comment and ask u to PLEASE try and read it AGAIN... I'm sure u missed ALL 65 books after Genesis:lol:
Humans have sharpened teeth for a reason, smart one. Did any other omnivore care for its prey's "feelings"? No, it ripped its prey limb from limb and ate its victory raw If anything, humans are doing a kindness by killing animals quickly. Even if we dont have to hunt them all the time Counterargument 2: have you ever seen a vegetarian bodybuilder? Me either. Muscles grow with protein. Nuts and legumes and soy have protein but it isnt the same as meat. The human body actually needs animal meat to sustain its health.
Animals eating other animals IS nature. You gonna go around and stop the lions from eating zebras too? what about the whales or sharks eating other fish? you gonna make sure that stops too? We just happened to be intelligent enough (well some of us are) to learn how to keep captive and raise our food in order to simplify the process rather than go out hunting for every meal. You know, like our ancestors did hundreds even thousands of years ago. Im pretty sure if eating meat was killing us we would be extinct by now considering how long we have been doing it for. Now if you'll excuse me "nature" calls meaning its time to grill up a steak.
If we stop eating cows we have to eat plants. If we eat more plants there won't be enough for the cows! So they will all die of starvation. D: However there's a solution! Join the 'Stop Cattle Hunger' campaign by eating as many beef burgers as possible!
