The war of 1812 has very much to do with this topic, when debating history you make comparisons to other historical events, me pointing out the 1812 scenario will leave you having to give in and admit your wrong about one of your historical beliefs or make you look like a fool. Why are you mentioning the battle of New Orleans? It was fought after the war of 1812 ended. The reason the war fought is a highly debated subject, but it doesn't matter if you are Canadian historian Don Graves who believes the war started because America wanted to annex Canada, or if you are American historian Don Hickey who believes the war started over British maritime policies, they both agree the war was a British victory. As for my point, I think my point is obviously to make you concede in one of your historical beliefs
When you look at the Congressional votes on the declaration of war: all the north eastern states suffering from impressment and blockade were against; all the western states were pro. So carrying on believing it was a noble crusade over principle and not a cynical land grab of native American lands.
Would we get to keep our dental plans or would that be gone? Replacing all our 's' with 'z' would be annoying
Just answer the original question, I'm not going to go around in circles with you. That's boring. As for the Battle of New Orleans, it took place in January and was the last major battle of the war. The treaty of Ghent was ratified the following month. Please answer my original question. Here it is, one more time. "How would YOU, define winning a war?" If the USA didn't win the war of Independence, who did and why? I won't respond until you answer those questions.
Death it's most likely sarcasm. Y'know. The classic English humour. Also just because someone on the Internet said it doesn't mean it's true
Which of the 2 countries has a leader that's accused of being a Muslim? I'll give you a clue, it isn't the UK.
lol bet X-D is sitting back laughing at ya'll...ya'll kno he/she just does these threads to troll folks right?
Strong Allies arguing is silly, id be pissed if Britain was attacked and the US did not back them up. In return id hope their citizens would want to support us as well.
You'll find almost everyone don't understand our humour and sarcasm. It's a beautiful British thing truly is
