  1. And yes I hate towers because mass towers will kill the game. Look beyond your precious pvp incentives and think about it.
     
  2. While it may be possible to include tiered warring in the future, Lowlands are the best candidate to test this system out. More tiers means more fragmentation, less participation, and less accessibility. Focusing on Lowlands means that bigger players may be more willing to teach up some little scrubs and invite them to their clan, because the min CS will be much lower across the board.

    It's going to be such a gong show.

  6. Point taken that you may not have used the word "exploit". However, is your explanation as to why you thing towered builds should be nerfed simply that you felt it made wars boring for you (i.e. sat in pin and waiting for small openings to hit)? That makes little sense to me. You can't sit in pin in wars--or am I misunderstanding what you are trying to say. And if that IS what you mean, I don't see how going back to a two year old example which has already been done away with (i.e. sitting in pin), has anything to do with the current system?

    As mentioned, things are still in the preparation phase but we'll update you with more information and a schedule as soon as we're ready to move forward with testing :)
     
  8. Just picture every build in KaW is now half comprised of towers. What's the way to beat that? Your own offensive stats are low so how are you going to get through all those towers. Mass BFA, BFE etc.

    So you'd have it that players would have to spend a couple years without paying money just to be able to enjoy war?

    That's my problem with the meta game of these pansy pillar kingdoms. I don't even EE war so don't try and show me in the light of a butthurt EE player. I simply enjoy the game and this 'strategy' of turtling only serves to make combat less fun and dissuade new players from continuing to play. For the game to survive it needs new blood and a combat system that doesn't consist solely of a bunch of static defense and players hiding behind it acting like they're so skilled for putting a some buildings up that feed them easy battle defenses.

  12. It has everything to do with the current system and any system. Players are always looking for the easy way out.

  15. This a nice surprise. I will be there to test this new system.
    The matching up looks like the system of season one. Will you use prestige as part of it? Also curious about roster size.
    Do you consider to bring back the loss of one level estoc edge while leaving a clan. Just curious.
     
  16. You want more accessibility to wars. I suggest you don't alienate the f2p community in this.
     
  17. Wars without towers would require incredibly active people with ever improving war strategies and a much higher level of involvement and cooperation.

    In my opinion, they would be 100% better.

    Towers = do nothing, have them fail on you more than we fail on them. Then try to skim hit each other. Yaaaay. Team A won because they have more towers. Go team.
     
  18. So you are agitating for change on an EE war thread, but you don't EE war? While you are of course free to express your opinion on any aspect of KaW, your statement makes little practical sense to me (coming from someone who does do a lot of EE wars). The name of game in EE war is to make plunder. If your build is "half comprised of towers" your build does not make much plunder and consequently will not help your team to win. There should be a balance between offensive capability and defensive power, but half is way too high. (Same point on "easy battle defenses"--those don't provide direct plunder either--someone still has to successfully hit to make some plunder).

  20. 100% correct, the f2p allows the existence of the p2p community. In other apps I enjoy, I pay nothing to war. It's a feature of the game. Draw your money from elsewhere, but making the wars available to f2p players (war xstal'd/no xstals) would benefit the game as a whole and in the end ATA's pocketbook
