Prologue: Year 2035 For the past decade, many people had talked about Dark Matter, a form of energy that was more powerful than any number of nuclear bombs. It was quickly harnessed by humanity. Countries that were poor back in 2010 like Egypt and Angola were now teeming with beautiful cities. Dark Matter was first discovered deep in a coal mine in Kiruna, Sweden. Several coal miners descended into the cave to look for a missing colleague. They found him unharmed, standing by a chest labeled "Use with Caution". Inside, there was a worn-out leather bound book and a strange device. Word got out fast and soon reached the ears of the UN and the NATO, who, naturally, put the items under investigation and examination. It was soon deemed safe and given to scientists to experiment with. This story follows Kathy, the 15 year old daughter of one of the scientists the items were given to.
