Woooooooow. How's that for an EXTREMELY COMPLEX PLOT. I kind of got lost with the entire "OverWorld" thing. Can you please give me a summary of the entire chapter 2? Thanks! Oh, and the story is AWESOME.
Also, what does everyone mean by: "The Segment"? Does that mean the interactions or the concept between the two worlds, or something different?
Ok the overworld is where you go when you die. Apparently it is supposed to be calm, but since some "gem" was found its in chaos. And this one kid, sam. Got saved by death for a yet unknown reason. Now, there is deaths brother, high Jamaican death. Oh, and now sam's friend saw death. I think thats right, cheese?
@ Phoenix When I say segment I mean the part of the story I am talking about ( I would call it a chapter but Cheese did not post 'Chapter #' and I did not want to assume and make people mad)
Segment means chapter, pretty much. As for the Overworld thing, here's how it works. There's Earth. There's the Overworld. Every single living person has a body on each of these. These two bodies live completely independent of eachother. That is, until either the Overworld or Earth body dies. In that case, it's the Deaths' jobs to go around and make sure that the conscience of the dead body goes to the mind of the living one. I.E. Jimmy dies on Earth. Death comes in, and transfers Jimmy's thoughts, ideas, etc. To his Overworld body's mind. No memory, though.
Yes, Matzah, that is correct. And the reason for Death saving Sam is because he, like many other Overworlders, was trying to escape. Sam just so happened to appear and open up a portal to Earth.
