Kingdoms at War - 01/08/13 Update

  1. Fail idea devs.Only 36 clans made your restrictions for war #1. That is about half of last week.
We wanted to war, had 49 members ready and able to do so, but we would have had to boot 22 members to qualify. Members with Estoc's edge that couldn't do war #1.
    Is that fair?

I will repeat what I have posted previously, an idea that might Ger more than 36 clans signing up:

"Problems with matchup? Not enough players signing up? Then maybe ****please**** increase the mith payouts SIGNIFICANTLY and have 2 wars a week on a rotating achedule.

Why increase mith? Because people want that shiny new equipment you've worked so hard to create.

Why have less wars? Supply and demand. If you restrict the supply of wars the demand will increase. Rather than having 4 wars with a meager 60-80 clans signing up, you will have 2 wars with possible 120-160 (better mith payouts will increase this as well) clans signing up. Giving a bigger pool for matchups.

Create a time schedule that rotates. So everyone can get involved.

Many are losing respect for the system, and you can see it in the amount of clans signing up. Please consider increasing the reward to help appease the HUGE risk a clan takes in signing up."

  2. Let us fight..give us a match up..any match up available..

  3. Big failure this new match up system. Counting veiled members in clan size for war.

  4. Wow multiple forums already complaining about unfair matchups. All this idea was ever going to do was exclude people from war ( as stated when you came out with it) you just halved the available clans for wars meaning obviously a lot smaller clan pool to select matchups from.
Let us sort our rosters out. It's a clans job to make sure we have enough to go to war with. Not your job to tell us to kick 30 people costing them their hard earnt ee levels. A sacrifice we were not prepared to force upon others just so those of us willing to war could do so. That would of been totally selfish and unfair to our clan mates. They veiled. Your rules on members warring and clan size limit would never fly.
And to those saying matchups unfair. Seriously the limit was set to 60. We had 60 members willing.
If you enter with 40 odd you have a high chance of being outgunned.
That is something we can all address ourselves
Would you rather have the option to grow your war team or devs do something else like that this destroys war for hundreds of players that's worked out worse for everyone concerned??

  5. Lol Leo, don't make such statements. I personally couldn't care less about plunder, I'm not an eb babeh. But I do agree, asking to reimburse plunder one supposedly lost while being a tower build - is way over the top lol but funny. I personally switched to tower build so I could bring some challenge to hansels in osw. Simple attackers aren't good for osw, and after playing a hansel for over a year, I wanted to try something new. Tower build was great! Strip wars are about STRIPPING, so strip tower build to open it up! During day time, burn em, track em - all the good osw stuff! But nooooo, whiners got devs to disable it. Sad. Hansel build is full of exploits - unbeatable eb bonuses, item drop rate - yet no one complaining. Cos it's only a gain right? LOL
Keep this **** up Kaw, way to go

  6. 1. Sign-in spell. Streamline the algorithm for clan matching.
    2. Estoc Edge a permanent item (You earned it ,keep it). Clan hopping is natural.
    3. Global war times. 10 hour rotation beginning times. Limited to only 4 (four) wars per clan a week.
    4. Mithril payout, more tempting. Total refund of all Mithril used in any war. Win or Lose.
    5. Crystal/ Nobility payout in wars for Top KO's in clan.

  7. Here's an idea, if your not going to fully think your ideas through trial them on Wednesday. Don't punish regular warriors due to your amateur ideas, full day wasted preparing for war and xtals bought what a disgrace.

  8. As admin of a smaller clan i disagree with the clan size change i appreciate why you are doing this but i disagree

  9. Wow great doing devs. Now me and my alt dbogr3 can't war on the only day I would war this week. That's a whole week w/o potential EE, only reason why I moved to war this week. Now I gotta wait a whole other week to war, all because you don't wanna add more days to war, or change war times..and of course the mess up with sign ups today

  10. Apologies for the war matchups, we are looking into the issue and will report back asap.

  11. We're all still learning how to manage these estoc wars which in the whole have been very well received, however, the only way we could have made your 60 sized clan limit was to kick perms who have achieved EE and who had veiled for this war - a sacrifice we were unwilling to make. Most of us realise that getting fair match ups is tough but if you increase the incentive to war (more mith) then this will give you more clans to participate and will give you a bit longer to sort your program's / algorithms to create a better / longer term solution for the benefit of everyone. Well done on amending the tower rules btw.

  12. Honestly stop with the trials if u don't know how to match ppl up fairly ...honestly all yur doin is awardin a team free mith and leavin the other team frustrated at bad match up I reaper DO YUR JOBS U GET PAID FOR IT ASSHOLES...

  13. I think a fair compensation for inconvinience would be 25 mith for all members that wanted to participate, and DOUBLE mith payout for last 3 wars.. i believe thats fair.

  14. The increase in the war size didn't help with the matchup we had a war that was a mismatch

  15. Today, we wanted to war but the new requirements screwed us. We could only have a max number of 60 in the clan so we had to kick people who had EE. We thought the 40 member clan min was for clan members, not active warring members. So right as the sign up closes, we get a notification that are sign up was withdrawn because we didn't meet the clan requirement of 40 members! No warning prior to the withdraw and no way for us to make up the difference because sign up is now closed. We had 39 active members for war and 60 members in the clan, so we couldn't have added another person if we wanted to without kicking another perm member with EE. This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen! When are you going to fix this Estoc war sign up and make it like current system wars? Get rid of the veil spell all together and make it so you have to "join war" just like in system wars. Why is that so hard? Or at the very least, give us a 15-30 min warning letting us know that we do not qualify under current roster. We are pissed now that we have to miss out on today's war.

  16. The requirement for sign up was less than 60 members total. It does not clarify this in the forum post from the Devs. It makes it sound like you can only have a max number of 60 warring members. So when we tried to sign up with over 60 in the clan, it said we had too many. This made us think that the min. 40 requirement also referred to total clan members. I mean logic would say that the 40-60 member clan requirement would refer to the same thing correct? But no, it's a 60 member max clan size, with a minimum amount of 40 active war participants. That is in no way clear in the forum post from the devs.

  17. it's not "active" members, because when we tried to sign up with 60+ total clan members but more than 20 people had veil spell on, it said we had too many people. It was only when we kicked members (some who had EE) and got our clan size below 60, that it let us sign up. So the 60 member max has nothing to do with 60 "active" members, it's total clan members. So the 40 and 60 are not even related in what they are referring to. 40 member min is "active" war members. 60 member max is "total" clan size. Where in the forums was this made clear?

  18. You want the solution to match ups see my war clan forum. Clans need to be able to war at max members without the limit of veiled members taking war slots away or asking friends to come over with little reward when they leave and lose estocs. And 1/3 extra mith minimum per war would be more incentive plus a system to reward for actions at equal rate to those done so far if the enemy forfeit. That way you reward the effort of those who war. Let us nominate clans as home and war it still promotes loyalty as we will only be allowed to clans so no hopping. And with full clans its down to the clans to win no excuses for miss-matches based on numbers.
But c'mon guys. Devs can't solve every clans size. This failed attempt proved that. What they can do is give us the ability to solve these issues.
As I said. Check out my forum leave support and we get the fix we need. Devs said they would do it if they can come up with an elegant solution. Well what's easier than nominating two clans??.

  19. I think it's time that they simply introduce the "join war" button after a clan signs up for war just like in a system war. No more veil or that dumb stuff. that way you know exactly who is warring and who isn't and the war roster can easily be viewed by the devs for proper match ups. It makes no sense to have an "opt out spell" as opposed to a "join" option. I would like to know what their thinking is here.

  20. Clans who were effected by this should get one level EE, 20 mith and two xstals.
