@major Yes, spies do play a support role. However if feel the balance is out of whack do to the pwar era. I personally feel the devs never meant for the attack/spy ratio to be this high. As a result spies play a leading role now simply because of the great advantages they have. Just look at osw. Attack builds are merely things to stripped. It's the spies that do all the work.
No support. Spy builds are not perfect builds. Pure spies can't make decent gold on ebs and no BFA while attack builds add to their BFA daily. Want to be attack build just build some towers like you see other attack builds doing. Seems like you don't know how to be an effective attack build. I see plenty of players do just fine with their attack builds, look at LB. The spy ratio in my clan is about 10%. I've never even seen a clan where more than 20% of players are spies.
@drow How is "being an effective attack build" going to stop a spy clan from stripping say, 5T in allies when I sleep? Os-ares was an effective, LB attack build and look what judgement did to him in a few hours. Also, hansels, who are 97% spy builds, make great plunder and have great Bfa.
i suggest giving troops the ability to attack enemy spys, cuz like u said troops cant touch them and if theyre a true hansel, only a stronger hansel can hurt them. while troops can be destroyed by weak spies if u have little spy stats.
When kaw first came out, ally market was healthy, and ally stats were the main margin to compete on. Perhaps another mechanism would be to make allies offer a reward more in line with the risk of carrying them. 1. stat bonus multiplier 2. qty of allies bonus 3. no penalty if account is reset Let's make ally trading a bigger part of the game instead of "reset bomb" type insurance against strips.
Personally as far as game mechanics go, what is done is done. We play a game where the spy builds greatly dominate the attack builds. Any reform suggestion will not be pretty or perfect. My question is this: is there anything that can be done to make the the odds a little more bearable? For example, a 50 year-old weighing 300 pounds will never look like a 20 year old Olympic gymnast. Does that mean he should give up the whole idea of exercising? I think not.
@crewl Lol I'm presently working on a new alt to function as a reset bomb. Lots of fun when it works.
@ Phil IMO hansel was not an exploit, jus the pw are. Small Hitters builds doesn't need any pots or bfa to hit osf either. Besides, if hansels and pure are viewed as exploiting builds, why the dev let them stay in the game for so long? Dev was fast enough to nerf the twr blds recently. Hansels does hav it's drawback. It's a ez source of leak if the player does not clear gold or pin its atk trp against another hansel or hybrid. It's not a perfect build. It's the hitter builds tats too uninteresting by comparison. Hansels and hybrids are both dynamic builds which can either gain alot of plunder or leak alot too. Dev shd give hitter builds a twist in mechanism or a plunder boost tat will makes it more favorable. Jus look at the ee rosters nowadays. Hybrids and hansels dominates them. I dun see many hitter builds as top scorers
Support, there needs to be something that balances the two, while still maintaining the differences between the two.
TL/DR The devs made adjustments allowing spies to be contained with scouts. Any attack build with some spies can successfully keep a hansel's spies pinned. It's a matter knowing the mechanics and using them to your advantage regardless the build type
I love the idea, however, spy builds are completely dominated in EE wars. An attack build can scout a hansel's spies to zero and NOT faield because this only goes through strength in towers and spies that are left and mith. If its a big hansel... Scout bomb with pots. Hansels are a force to be reckon with buy easily sat on by anyone. Attack builds at least have to be attacked to do decent damage to their troop levels, assassinations have to go through towers, spies left, pots, mith, bfa, and whatever else that you can name.
As someone probably already said it is really tough to ko a hansel. I hear alot of it's fair because we can scout u down to 0 spy well that's true but what about ur soldiers that are dtw to my attack? I have assassinate ur soldiers out to ko and by the time I scout u down I don't have much left. So I think we should remove dtw to soldiers if u have them. Just makes sense if u think about it. They already removed tower build mechs so why not this?
