The 5 percent increase to 1.575 was a smokescreen. This was done to slow server traffic. ( as was the 4 second lag) as was the drop button fiasco. as new norms develop in the market. We may see vollying return to normal. But with massive price inflation on the low end. Because it takes a much larger volly to get a noob to 50k ATT. The funny thing is that once all the inflation is done intial vollies will double in lenghth to whatever price point takes the noob to 50k stats. So in the long run this may increase server traffic. U gotta love unintended consequences.
I'm certain the change had nothing at all to do with server traffic. The devs have been very consistent in nerfing anything that reeks of free $ in game - volley transfers rank right up there with OSFs in tactics that allow people to grow without actually playing the game.
Indeed the 5% is token increase and a joke. I tested last night although i don't have the data here at work, it think it amounts to 1.5808%. ooohhhh, exciting! The change that bothers me the most is the hiring $$ nerf. The 100m-1b market, where a lot of ppl make their money (myself included) is going to be dead. 3nnui dunno about your assumptions about reducing server traffic. Seems the devs are trying to prevent abuse and the consequences of these changes are altering the game more than the abuse ever was. Either way, amazing how easily the devs can ruin a good thing
One million for being hired was worthless to most players... and now it's halved?! This is ridiculous. I propose that the stronger you are, the more you make from being hired. Players that cost hundreds of billions wouldn't get hired very much. Not getting hired means you wouldn't get filthy rich off it. And noob players would rely so damn much on being volleyed because they would make gold according to their strength when hired. It self regulates! One million was peanuts. I can't even get some good pots with that. Now that it's 500k... I'm gonna use that to plug leaks, wipe my ass, clean up spills, blow my nose...
If u make more from dropping allies then that will encourage people to drop allies. U now make more money from dropping than b4. U make a loss though
Yeah but nat, when they reset, it isn't the owners fault so they should get a higher money back, even when the Devs reset them, let's say at my stats if my ally reset I would lose more than 500mil with new terms that can be very damaging for new players or resets.
Unfortunately knight the system could then be abused. Think 3 man team or 1 player 3 devices. 2 players volly the 3rd to 100billion. Then that player resets. Then they repeat the volly for an endless profit loop. By having that loop be revenue nuetral, experienced players have xferred hundreds of billions. If that loop was profit it would never end. So there has to be a loss at the end in order to stem the tide.
I thought that when i posted it... Maybe just will players that the Dev's reset as that isn't fixed or at least I hope it isn't
