Kaw is starting to look like FC

  2. I personally think they the heart of retaining players is in the tutorial, and that isn't accomplishing anything. The tutorial needs to be revamped and players need to be forwarded to player guides right from the start. Finding forums takes a while for players, even considering there's a huge button in your face.

  3. I see you think the mechanics need a rehaul, a beta for the new ones etc. So, as a player who, I would assume plays every part of the game, what changes would you do? Instead of just saying "DEVS FIX PLOX", why not give ideas? Why not give the pros and cons of each item you put forth. You'd be surprised on how much ATA has listened over the years.

  4. I remember when the FC world chat would go quiet for over an hour

  5. Once an app has been around as long as kaw, the people who are interested in these type of games have already checked it out. The only people left to draw in will mostly be those who just got their first smart phones (E.g. Kids).

Being innovative, advertising , or reworking core aspects isnt going to bring back a large percent of those that have already experienced kaw and formed their opinions.

Those people are the market and they have most likely already been here and decided to leave.

Of course, this is only how ive interpreted the limited knowledge that i can obtain.

  6. i will find another dealer

  8. I never played FC, but from what I've heard it was similar to KaW before ebs were introduced. It was a PvP. And judging by your description of the game, it would never have been sustainable. Why do you think ebs were introduced into the game? The revenue from people PvPing and doing pwars wouldn't have been sustainable. But introduce ebs and people would likely have been xtaling more and buying more nobs. Then came HTE and events and so it goes on. Devs need to make a profit. If KaW had stuck solely to PvP, I doubt it'd have still been around now. I honestly don't believe it would have been profitable enough to continue. Certainly not as profitable as ebs and events. The introduction of 2 sets of lands and ebs killed off PvP. Growing suddenly became a lot more enticing with an easier way to get gold. The more they get involved in ebs, the less and less they worried about PvP and so did many players.

New players are becoming hard to retain. But I believe KaW is currently geared towards retaining their active player base first and finding new players second. I'm not saying we don't need new players, of course we do. But that's only my observation of the game at the moment. There are still new players coming through.

To be an inactive moderator you need to be a moderator a first...and neither Wulf or Moose are moderators anymore

That's a big difference. The fact that they're STILL updating the game shows they still have interest in KaW.

There's an important distinction people need to make. There are three options in KaW. Spend nothing, spend a fortune or spend a little here and there. The events are only to pay to play if you are seeking the best rewards. The best stuff ain't gunna come free. You want the best? You have to pay for it. If you don't want to pay, then you can still get decent rewards. That's the way most things tend to run. You want the best car? Costs money. You want the biggest mansion? Costs money. You are not forced to spend money in KaW. But you have to spend if you want the best. I agree some updates are probably aimed at wanting us to spend money (HTE, ZTA, Battle Cry) but you can still participate and grow without spending.

As for the clan roles, players were asking for a better clan structure for a long time. Players also asked for a gold sink. The devs found a way to combine them both. We have to remember that devs will never implement things EXACTLY as the players ask for them. They can't please us all.

In short, I think players need to stop crying wolf. The game is not dead or dying just yet. IMO, it's simply gone in a different direction to what players expected. This game is now about ebs and events first (it keeps the game running and is the easiest way to grow) and PvP second. I think there should be a lot more incentive to PvP. But I think it's fairly clear that now devs are more interested in ebs, events and having us grow.

  9. Eh, Ebs and pvp for the win. Multi trillion strips, BC in a couple of months by spending enough, hitting and getting hit. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon unless I have to.

  10. I hope kaw isn't abandoned 
