First, Hybrid Builds are very versatile, acccomplishing a great deal in both EB's and very capable for wars (with some adjustments). Second, Hybrid Builds make gold on every Epic Battle and can handle spy centered Epic Battles and attack centered Epic Battles. Third, Hybrid Builds will allow you to handle both attack builds and spy builds somewhat. Instead, of feeling like you are at the mercy in a stat, you feel moderately able to handle both. Why wouldn't you want to be a Hybrid Build? First, Hybrid Builds do not make gold as quickly as some of the other building types. Second, Hybrid Builds do not excel in a specific area of the game (like Attack Builds with Epic Battles and Guild Hansels with Estoc Wars). Third, Hybrid Builds do not have the same kind of gigantic stats others can create by focusing on one particular area of the game.

First, Defensive Builds are very difficult to attack and successfully pin down. Second, Defensive Builds will ensure that in the event of a war, you are one of the least likely to be targeted players. Third, Defensive Builds are going to be very difficult to take gold from. Why wouldn't you want to be a Defensive Build? First, Defensive Builds are terrible at producing gold in Epic Battles. Second, Defensive Builds are not liked in Estoc Wars because they often take up huge amounts of statistics for benefits that will never produce an attack. Third, Defensive Builds are not very good at attacking either an Epic Battle or another kingdom.
How do I make Gold? ~ (Page 4) New players often ask the best ways they can make gold. There are more than a few ways to make gold. There are five main ways most of us make gold. Which ones produce the most money depend upon which you invest the most time in but generally, the Epic Battles are best. Here are five ways to make gold.
Method #1 ~ The first way most of us make gold is by being bought by other players. Players in the game will spend their gold investing in us. The first few times you will not make almost any gold but each time you get bought, the amount you make will go up. The maximum you can make is 1 million gold per purchase. How do you make sure more people will invest in you? Post in World Chat ~ If you are selling for less than 2.5 Billion, you will most often get bought. Keep Growing ~ Players like to invest in growing players who are adding to their attack and spy attack values. A player with an attack value of over 10,000 will almost always end up being purchased up through 2 Billion. Ask a Clan Mate ~ Members of clans like to help each other. It is not uncommon for fellow clanmates to purchase each other for up to 5 Billion and I have seen 10 Billion.
Method #2 ~ Attack the Epic Battle ~ Enough gold to clear lands early and to buy better buildings can be bought attacking Epic Battles. If your clan is not doing them, you are missing out on a ton of gold. Also, the more troops you have, the greater amount of gold you will make. Waiting to attack with full troops makes double (on the initial attack) than attacking with half your troops. Troops will replenish at a rate of about 8 % every 5 minutes. Also, the more allies you have, the greater amount of gold you make. There is a whole section on allies and how they affect your plunder, but it is sufficient to say that purchasing allies will increase the amount of gold you make on each attack.
Method #3 ~ Attack or Steal from Other Players This is the most risky of ways to make gold. Many players like to try and make gold by attacking other players. And the truth is, it can be very rewarding or very dangerous and fatal to your KaW career. Recently, a new player I was working with attacked the wrong player. That player went on an attacking and stealing spree on the player in my clan. It took some intervention. In some cases, this starts war, so be careful. The general rule for this is don't attack a player more than four times in a single day. No one has to live by this but most call attacking a player more than four times FARMING. And there are players who specialize in destroying players who farm. So Farm at your own peril. This is a warning, not a rule. There is NO RULE against farming, just a principle that 90% of the KaW players respect and that at least 10% of the players enforce strictly. Many clan leaders kick farmers out of their clan (although usually we offer a warning first). Again, buying allies and having more soldiers (or spies for steals) will produce more gold. I recommend only attacking a player once and then looking for your next target. And if you are attacked, I again recommend only returning the attack (if you are upset). To succeed against other players more successfully you can buy potions and attack or defend using them but that also can cost more than you make.
Method #4 ~ Buy and Sell Allies There is a huge potential for profit buying and selling allies. In a period of 15 minutes you can easily make 500 million if you are careful and somtimes even more. The key to this is deliberate planning and careful research. The mechanics are simple. Every time you sell an ally, you receive all the gold you paid for them back and an additional profit. It is generally a very small percentage of what you paid but 1.5% of 1 Billion is still a good amount of gold.
Method #5 ~ Quests When you perform quests you receive gold. It is not a huge quantity but it provides a nice steady stream of gold and also there is a chance to pick up nobility and crystals. The drop rate on nobility is very small while the crystal rate is almost undetectable. Most players speak of having a total of one drop outside the set crystal drops.
Epic Battles ~ (Page 5) A great way for your whole team to earn gold and to develop some common bonds is to attack the Epic Battles that are offered. There are now eight different levels and over thirty different Epic Battles. Each of these offers unique oppotunities to gain gold and to gather unique equipment that will make you so much stronger.

Being Ready for Epic Battles Often, you will get stuck in these Epic Battles and cannot do an action successfully. One of the problems could be that you are doing the wrong action or to defeat the next portion of the Epic Battle you need to use Items. Items can be bought in the marketplace and are actually called potions (pots for short). It is wise whenever you encounter a new Epic Battle (EB) to head over to Wulf's Epic Battle Spoiler Forum and to check out what items will be needed. When you buy items, you should always try and purchase them in larger quantities. Typically, I recommend 100 potions at a time for each stage of the Epic Battle.
