When it comes to ideas like this, it's not really something we can say 'We're going to do this" or "We're not going to do this" right away. We usually have a number of ongoing projects, and we have meetings every so often to decide additional tasks to move forwards with. Though the team did mention SMASH actually already does something similar with a "Last Battled" time.
Lol, how? Yep let me just infiltrate the enemy, "oh guys I'm a mole", gives me commander on the spot, checks activity. Screenshots galore. Leaves. Ya Nathan, just shut up and forum ban yourself. Grant, no rush just keep the game from crashing first.
How? I'll tell you. Any information that is viewable on-line by another player means that the information can be intercepted by those it is not intended for. Think of all the examples over various EE seasons where enemy accounts were viewing data that was not publicly available because they broke down the communication protocols for KaW and obtained information that the vast majority of KaW did not have access to. It got so bad in Season 2, if I recall correctly--but I can't be bothered to actually find out--that the devs had to roll out a new communications protocol to try and fix it -- which only delayed the hackers for like a week until they figured it out. Thus, my thinking is any information that will be communicated in any fashion might as well be made public to all, because someone will figure out how to read it shortly. There is no way to really keep it private.
