Yes, Christians did that. But how many on your list of atrocities was committed in the "name of God"?
Oh WOOOOW. Christians ruined the world huh? Christians didn't drop the bomb on Hiroshima. Americans did. And they made the right choice. As for the slave trade, many of the south didn't even support slavery, but they supported individual state freedom. I don't know what planet you live on, but please stay away from explosives, guns, and planes. I
There are thousands of undocumented/un-publicised anti-muslim events/persecution across the world, in India, especially. Muslims are subject to serious persecution by some Hindus in India, who often fill the higher castes in society. I'm not putting the blame on any single religion. EVERY religion has evil acts of terrorism/murder. It's not the religions provoking these acts, but instead the mentally challenged individuals/groups who are either influenced by, or promote all these unbelievably animalistic/inhumane ideologies.
Ok , soap, last banter for a bit. Here's my suggestion , as I said earlier if u wanna live by 600bc guidelines, grab ya sandles, strap on a sword and go ya hardest on ya camel. Seeing as the rest of the universe has moved on since then - apart from the lunatics you'll be lonely . So I suggest for you, trade your camel in for a honda civic (Eco friendly (uni types love that)) Upgrade your sword to ummmm a kindle?? The pen is mightier than the sword . And kick back, sure you won't score much with a kindle and a civic.... But you'll feel better about yourself. Enjoy next semester
Islam is all evil we have been fighting those brutes for many years here is piece of history for you all In 1786, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson met with Arab diplomats from Tunisia, who were conducting terror raids and piracy against American ships (Barbary Pirates). Writing to John Jay, Thomas Jefferson described what he saw as the main issue and the reason why they were attacking Americans who had done them no harm. The following quote is from Thomas Jefferson.... “We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the Grounds of their pretensions to make war upon a Nation who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our Friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. THE AMBASSADOR ANSWERED US THAT IT WAS FOUNDED ON THE LAWS OF THEIR PROPHET, THAT IT WAS WRITTEN IN THEIR KORAN, THAT ALL NATIONS WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR AUTHORITY WERE SINNERS, THAT IT WAS THEIR RIGHT AND DUTY TO MAKE WAR UPON THEM WHEREVER THEY COULD BE FOUND, AND TO MAKE SLAVES OF ALL THEY COULD TAKE AS PRISONERS, AND THAT EVERY MUSSELMAN (MUSLIM) WHO SHOULD BE SLAIN IN BATTLE WAS SURE TO GO TO PARADISE"
Christians committed the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, where 19 innocent people were hanged for witchcraft.
African witchdoctors sold their slaves to the western civilizations for gold and rum. Lord forbid we actually hold Africa responsible for it's part of slavery. Btw, slavery has been around before christianity. The biggest holders of slaves were Babylonians and the Persians. The books of Genesis - Deuteronomy were written during Hebrew captivity. They sought a way to control captive abuse by allowing the captives ways out of slavery, such as the 7 year slavery laws.
Smelly soaps got most of his facts wrong. Slavery wasn't started by Christians for a start. It predates Christianity. #smellyreadyourhistory
Zeth that just shows you their way of thinking has not changed, i am suprised no one has A bombed them by now.
No duh it was around before slavery... Why else would the Egyptians have Jewish slaves? Why would the Jewish religious book talk about slavery if Jews came before Christians?
You Quote some random Islamic diplomats and base your view of Islam on that? I'd be intrigued I'd you'd be able to find anything from the Qu'ran/Hadith that supports those diplomats' views.
Anyway, I don't support France in this. I support the families, but France should do something about the thousands of meditating Muslims in the streets everyday.
Christians did start the slave trade because they took slaves from Africa aboard ships (African slavery didn't last generations while European slavery did) and started trading them. The slave trade is in reference to the slave trade of the last couple hundred years.
