No. And I'm a baptist myself. Look. There's good people in every religion (Except, of course Scientology, but who ever thought there was lol) But when it comes to murders like this, and acts of terrorism, the peaceful majority is irrelevant. The Westboro Baptist church didn't mass murder Muslims, kill pregnant mothers, behead men and bury children alive. Westboro didn't bomb the twin towers. Apples and oranges.
I draw the line at protesting someone's lifestyle choice at their funeral. So no, they don't represent the whole of us southern baptists. If I remember correctly, they are not affiliated with any baptist organization. They are an independent with "Baptist" in their charter name.
The ignorance on the thread is astounding. Make u realize how deep were in this, none of u is even remotely listening to the other. Just chest bumping, n how right u are. New flash - people have killed other people in the name of every religion on earth. To hold all people of that faith responsible mearly means all people of all faiths are. What does a Palestinian Christian have to do with a
I'm not sure it is pointless. The gunman in today's hostage situation was converted to Islam while in prison. (source Associated Press) And now there is a new hostage situation in a jewelry store, same day. Maybe it's just the French?
Universe it's pointless because all you do when you start ranting and raving about " evil " Muslims and blaming Muslims for the actions of a tiny minority is play into the hands of those very people you seek to hurt. You feed into the feelings of anti Islamic hate that these people use to persuade others that they need to fight in some idiotic Jihad against the infidels who hate all Muslims. There are millions of peaceful followers of Islam worldwide there are strong Islamic voices who decry these acts of hate and terror but you don't hear them or see these moderate people speaking
Let's be honest though. The majority of people living in Muslim counties are oppressed. No one ever hears their voices. Let alone westerners going about with their lives. That's why people like to migrate into western society. Because it can be empowering. Something their country haven't, won't or can't offer right now. The reasons diverse as people who follow Islam.
Has any of you seem the footage google has been trying to take off the web. It's the encounter between the gunmen and the officer. Watch it tell me what you think and no the footage has not been modified
I like this post. To the guy talking about a "grace period" and "defending extremists"... It's not defending extremists. It's defending minorities who are being discriminated against. Sure, you have no problem with people saying that Muslims are animals and are evil, but when it comes to people defending them suddenly it's rude.
Has anyone researched this event yet. It's some really eye opening stuff about this one. Lets calm down and lets do our homework when someone shows you or tells you something. Conform it for yourself there's always two sides to a story being told. Don't go with what mainstream media is telling you think and search for yourself.
R.I.P to the victims of extremism. People need to lighten up some, learn to take a joke. I did see an interesting video on youtube though called "Why we are afraid, a 1400 year secret" very eye opening tbh. Anyways some words to live by Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And... ...always look on the bright side of life... *insert whistle here* Always look on the light side of life... *insert whistle here*
