I used items in every eb I got a drop from. I also used items in plenty of Ebs I didn't get a drop from. Here's my theory: Everyone in the eb has a set chance of a drop. Let's call it .5% but could be different. Then there's also a bonus chance for number of successful actions. Let's call that .01% per action but who knows. so if I'm in a fod and have 500 actions, my chance is .5 .5 or 1% of sword at end.
My theory for getting the armor from Destroyer EB is to hit items very fast at phase 3/4 when hitting intense heat (elixir of rage and elven shield)You go ned to b quite active throughout the battle though . I was 5th in rank in the battle yet i was the only one to get the armor .Try it out urself
I got the Amour in Destroyer and didn't use 1 pot in the item stage, first day trying to get it. I done about 4 Destroyers that day, every other one I used at least 4 pots in item stages.
I'v been doing FOD ever since and got noting for the last 3 days, it does get annoying because it and COTD pay so bad, so I'm losing gold every day looking for it. As soon as I get the blade I'm finished looking for items because COTD pay is terrible, on 1 I used 6 Xstals and got every item stage and didn't even get 2bil bonus, joke of an EB.
Item drop is completely random like a lottery.. People that hit EB are entered into lotto pick. Now sometimes what may happen is that the item drop is given to someone who already has the item and therefore the item is not dropped. One thing i have seen most of lately is multiple clans coming together and splitting the ebs up. For example clan A does FOD, clan B does COD, Clan C does Destroyer. The only people allowed in those clans must have min comb stats for said EB and not have the item for EB. Finishing the EB in a timely matter seems to help also with drop. i saw history of one clan that a guy had 41 actions on COD and got the treasure. There is no formula it is random selection by way of programming. I imagine each participant in EB is assigned a number once active in EB then at end a random number generator with parameters on numbers picks a few lucky peeps. So happy hunting guys, stop over thinking it. besides 10% increase to raw stats really isnt that much... Take your raw attk stat and multiply it by 0.10. That number is the only increase you get. Keep in mind i said raw stats not your bonus to allies!!!
My stats 193,000,000 x .1=19,300,000 19.3 million x .02=bonus to allies= 386,000 Not a big difference you say?
@homedawg- still small potatoes considering a few allies can give you that. I merely pointing out that people are making a big deal out of this. Just play the game it will come when it comes. Buy more allies if you want a stat boost. Many people have better attack stats than Red-Star but he is most powerful because of bonus from allies not a silly sword.
It's random. My very 1st destroyer I got the armor. I've been doing FOD for almost a week nonstop and only gotten the treasure once. I've had few actions, lots of actions, used and not used xtals, used and not used items, hit every stage except last item part, landed final blow, been number one in plunder, and still no cigar.
It's not 100% random (ignoring the random vs. random isn't possible argument) . Devs have said that the more you contribute to the EB, the better chance you'll have of getting the item.
had a friend do two half unloads in FOD and he got sword.. Doesnt matter how much you participate in eb. Also had another friend that joined 1hr before close of COD and he got Sheild.. NEXT Contribution..

The item drop(s) are just pure luck. Every successful action is your "lottery ticket", the random "drawing" at the end is all luck.
