Yes, someone who finally gets it. Increasing minimum wage does nothing but hurt the entire population. That money doesn't just come from nowhere. I'll tell you what this does to employers from an employer perspective.... Employers see an increase in minimum wage by 20% and instantly figure if minimum wage goes up beyond employees existing salary, they start cutting corners. They were going to increase minimum wage in this area above what I was paying a couple of my less experienced workers. Not much more, but for the area, it was significant. If it goes up by more than someone's hourly wage, I will cut one employee. So, how do I select who's job is cut? Well, I start by taking a walk outside to the parking lot. I look at vehicles. The one with the Obama bumper sticker gets the boot. I had a few employees during the election who voted for Obama. Fast forward 4 years. That all changed. They no longer support him because every single thing that I said would happen, did, and they now understand. They didn't vote for him the second round , but they no longer work for me. Did I fire them for voting for Obama directly? No, found lots of other ways to can them... They had that mentality..
The reality is, that when the minimum wage is higher, more people have more money to spend, which means more business, which stimulates the economy and creates more jobs overall. Some people may complain about a short term loss due to the slightly higher pay for low wage workers, but the overall and long term gains in the economy, including to those businesses, justifies the temporary setback. In other words, a higher minimum wage permanently benefits far more than it temporarily hurts.
No you're an idiot. Raising min wage would increase in job loss and college would be worthless. Jobs that make $20-30 an hour do not go up because minimum wage goes up. And if you spend 4-10years in college you deserve that pay. If you don't and you're a burger flipper you deserve $8. Hell. I'm joining the Marines and if you raise minimum wage you'd be almost making my wage. You're saying people who put their lives to die deserve barely more than minimum wage? Hell no.
Trump is going to build the Great Wall of America. People will have to reopen the Underground Railroad to smuggle our Mexican friends in.
