Is Obama right?

  1. @jak, how else would they recieve income? They aren't citizens so they won't recieve income and anyways, the welfare system is so abused that you're better off going on welfare than working at McDonalds. Same amount of money, you get to sit on your ass all day.

  2. You can easily make a living buying repairing and selling cars that are bought from auction/foreclosure and the registration isn't that complex.

also sympathizers/ family restaurants can have those illegal workers and not be noticed. its all confusong and i dn't want to get into further details but if a con artist can con a million off people an illegal can find a job if he is sufficently experienced

  3. Jak, this is about illegals taking high class jobs like Engineering. I doubt America has enough of those kind of jobs for their own citizens, so why should a foreigner get it instead of a citizen of America? Every county puts its citizens first. Why is this different?

  4. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If Obama agrees that students, illegal or not, should be allowed to do whatever they please, so be it.

  5. Frankenstein...that's ripe for disaster in America. It might be the right thing to do, but it isn't a practical thing to do. Already Americas own citizens can't get happiness as they pursue jobs and commute long distances, so why should foriengers instead get it? Americas citizens should be first priority for the Life, Liberty and Happiness.

  6. There will always be jobs for such high class jobs the things is who is better? The illegal or the legal citizen? Are you willing to allow an illegal work at your place if he has vital experience that is hard to come by? Those decisions should be though out by a businessman and depending on choice he may or may not allow it. Depends if the risk is good enough and whether his views actually allow him to do it.

But if they get those cards its all good and no more risk for the experience

  7. Jak, already around 16% of America is jobless. So let's see, we add more foriengers to the mix. Around 1 million. That's 1 million more jobless, foriegners or American.

  8. And thats where the point you made is valid the economy isn't great if america wasn't in a slump then yes this would've been a good choice. I'd like to say that the people getting cards will add to the businesses already present but its between 15-31 thats mostly workers being added. They might be loyal and more likely to add whatever they earn to the economy of us. But with obama only beong ablr to stop the economy from cashing. We the people ourselves are going to need to find a solution to this problem. Wd can't rely on government and the presidency.

Which goes to the sscond point I agreed with moose wayy early on #1 the students and returnees will go to school and get and education which could be a huge benefit to u.s. BUT their stay is temporary all tha education and possibility will be gettong deported essentially makong this worthless.

If there was a way to allow the most promising temp legal to become permament the damage would be lessened. But alot of people wouldn't want tht.... Sorry for wall of textt

  9. orbofdell - Placing American citizens as the top priority isn't following the declaration very well now is it? " ... that every man is created equal ... " Every man. Not American citizens first, not excluding immigrants, every individual man. We all share the same priority, Obama is doing nothing wrong. He's granting those who may be less fortunate oppertunities to strive for a decent and enjoyable life in our of so proud lamd of the free.

  10. Jak has some really good thoughts... Good arguements 

  11. Frankenstein, come on. I think your trolling because that is the worst argument I've ever heard. All men are created equal, yes, but some men decide to break laws and come into other countries illegally, making them something called "criminals". Now if we let them get away with it, should we let murderers go free too? Where do we draw the line of which laws are ok to break? Anyone who can't see the obvious issues with illegal immigration is either just got a huge heart or a tiny brain.

  12. lol orbofdell

for your info. the only difference between foreigners getting the job over a american citizen is that these million or so people arent citizens on paper , these kids that are benefiting off the obama policy are the kids who sang the star-spangled banner next to you , who learned english the same way you did , kids who you fated with and cracked up laughing , only to find out at the age of their teens that they are from mexico! You arent giving foreigners jobs , you are giving jobs to people who have been here their whole lives , they are basically kids without a home because the U.S. dont want them and they dont know mexico at all , they are country-less!

and by the way , the only people who benefit are the kids who have a highschool diploma , who have never broken the law , and have worked the same as a citizen maybe even harder only to be saddened that they cant move on with their lives because of their documentation! you arent giving jobs to funny speaking immigrants! you are giving jobs to fellow classmates , friends , people you admire! you never know!

  13. 16% jobless? That's a huge exaggeration if I ever heard one....

  14. Morally you're right. Practically, the economy might not be able to stand a constant influx of people that may also keep overcoming the jobs created. If we could keep this, and not have just another million people jobless, I'd be fine. I'd encourage it. But there aren't enough jobs out there for everyone, and people with proper documentation should be first priority.

    Btw I am not American.

  15. Shadow, the official data says there are 8% jobless.

They didn't include people on welfare, searching for a job over a year, not actively looking for jobs and other criteria.

  16. MURK - Lol, I'm not trolling, persay. Merly... instagating debate. I read none of the previous comments, honestly this decision of Obama's hardly affects me. If I was trolling I would have been a little more radical  My post wasn't completely serious.

  17. Thats true reign. The have to be here since june 2007 so they are limiting people to who has been here since then and can prove with documentatiom for EVERY month they have been here whether it was back in 1991 or just in 2000 they can't have gone to mexico at anytime withon now to 2007 either so that gibes the : more likely to spend their earnings here and not in mexico. They have no contacts to give back to.

Also they have to have biometrics taken a full background check and a lawyer given to review his or her case ( I was with my friend so yea I kinda know). Its also expensive for the paperwork idk but its pretty high up there

  18. Oh, and just to be clear; I agree with that murk. If I felt the need to express my opinion I would have written all my thoughts out at once and would have included your statement. I'm done here, 

  19. Frank, then everyone starts losing as the economy gets ever worse.

Remember, it's another 1000000 jobless whether you like it or not.

  20. Murk, that brings us to the question as to whether the law follows what the constitution says...

    But that's another story.
