  1. Yes, in that specific case, it is looking past the chance of them buying the equipment, however what is a more poisonous thing than pride? Greed.

The large LB's of KaW have a bunch locked away in banks. How much? Enough for someone to become HFBC and probably half of abyss too.

However, what is one thing that they do not have? A banner that says they're one of the best, and they would spend a fortune to get it. Imagine a player that spends a bunch of effort and dedication to get a banner, then a LB comes along, and offers such a high amount of gold that he could put himself on the LB, would you take it? I certainly would. Even if the others may be unhappy with you, who cares? With that amount of gold, you're probably stronger than them anyway. So, yes it is voluntary, however if you can get more out of something, why wouldn't you?

Then the value of having one of those values decreases, as you could just pay a bunch and get it, therefore causing the players with the banners to feel like their effort was worthless, since you could've just bought a banner off of the black market.

However, those are just my thoughts, feel free to dissect them.

  2. Thank you Nar, I thought I was the only one noticing this.

  3. I asked the Support team the following questions and received a fast response;

Why is it that we can't buy more than 6 mithril at a time? I know we were able to obtain a max of 500 when it first came out from system wars. Why is it that this was changed?

Also, how do you guys feel about the buying and selling of Top 10 banners? Wouldn't it destroy the sentimentality of the item?

  4. No support - this actually doesn't reduce inflation it creates a source of gold for alts ( and let's face it 1/3 of kaw is alts minimum) that wasn't there previously, sure I loose % of gold when I convert but it is on a gold source that I never had. Yes the player buying has to spend gold but they don't have to spend time doing low paying ebs to obtain they just spend time doing hte and buys it. Also the idea of other things to spend gold on - pots! Oh wait devs have made that rather obsolete depending on build. Lands and buildings the only true original concept of the game to become the most powerful and grow and controls inflation ally prices etc and effect of hte. To be honest growing is way to easy now you don't even have to try. If your looking for another idea to suck money how about gold for guaranteed enchantments in lieu of Aqua and inferno. There are many other reasons why I don't think they should be for sale eg getting hooked on the hunt and true reflection of those players that spent the time to earn the equipment lets just let players not ee you can buy equipment don't do ebs or events just get it on the black market its just another idea that panders to the lazy. You say but what if you missed equipment as didn't start then - oh well it's kaw wait a season you'll have it all eventually. I like you tried to solve the exploits but there are too many easier ideas that are bette for the game - no support.

  5. What about differences in size? Mithril, as shown through the alchemist, is worth different amounts to different players. Newer players may sell them to older players so unwittingly getting less than they're worth, or else getting a lot for it and make a fortune off buying from the alchemist and selling on the black market for more.

  6. Yes but there are event all the time.. Eventually there will be so many variants of eq all with similar stats. Proud of a banner you earnt a year ago? I doubt it if there are now 20 other better banners. No matter what the LB buy off people it will very quickly lose its value. LB spend loads of money on KaW. If they wanted an alt to have a good banner then they'd just use loads of crystals during events. The only difference is with black market a smaller player could perhaps make that profit from banner before the banner becomes useless.

I know you hear rumours, but I doubt many LB truly have that many accounts they care about. It's unsustainable to have more than a few accounts if one of them is LB. LB accounts require a lot of care.

  7. Again..

  8. Lol is that so shadowfiend  I can tell you most good lb have many alts for various reason.

  9. as an hte clan owner you learn about about so many

  10. Even as an admin you learn some about them.

  11. Lol I'm sure you do  some players in sure could field two ee teams themselves lol well we know they could 

  12. You honestly must not have read what I said. Stop being so ignorant and actually read what i said. I showed how what you said isn't actually correct because the banners do lose their value very quickly and their "sentimental value". The only value they have is being slightly better than the next banner down.

So what if you have an email from the support team? They are not the devs and cannot truly represent how the devs feel. Besides, the devs don't play this game, we do, the player base.

  13. Lmao

The support team knows the developers and many reasons as to why things aren't the way they are.

Developers run this game soley off the good of kaw. They don't run this game based off doubts & opinions...which is all you have for backing.

All my statements are based off facts and history of KaW. Yours is based off intentions that fit the well-being of yourself. Yours are based off doubt. All I see are supporters who believe that nothing will go downhill.

When implementing a change you look at the worst possible situation and judge if it is worth the risk. You don't just push off theories, you continuously test them until proven.

This is why KaW will last 6 years this September, because they don't change things that can hurt a certain player group. They don't run their decisions off could be's or would be's.

"I doubt LB have that many accounts"

You're in Black Hand and you really dont believe this?

    Ignorance.

  14. @Killzone

Calling support the devs is ignorant. As I've exchanged many letters with them myself the point blank say they have no control over what the devs do.

  15. Not true shadow - my summer war equipment will not loose its value if it can't be bought. I don't care about the stats more that only a handful got the equipment and the hours spent on pinning to get it when I was a small account and at least the equipment earnt in current events have a meaning for a set period of time. This idea is not required on many levels as stated before.

  16. Please reread what I said, I never called the support team the developers.

  17. The meaning of the equipment will not dwindle just because someone sold theirs. The feeling if accomplishment will always be there period.

  18. What will they have to show for that? An achievement? That would get drowned in the countless others they will receive.

They will have the feeling, but they will have nothing to show for it to others, making the feeling useless.

  19. Support only knows what the devs allow them to know. Support has no clue what the devs plan. Only what the devs release to them.

  20. Why cant people just earn their own equipment like they have been doing for about 4 years? I dont see whats wrong with how equipment is earned now. If its not broken dont fix it.

Earn your gear if you want it.
