People keep saying that there will be nobody participating in events, but I think players still will, as I doubt anybody would sell good equipment, so the only way to get it would still be to participate in the event.
Its not a Black Market but an Open Market Defeats the purpose of playing n earning everything. Would make HtE even more popular as well as kill eb clans playing all other eb's to hunt EQ etc. Clan loyalty would go down the toilet n moochers galore. Summary: the entire eb system would crash n join the demise of warring as well. Only gold is needed. OSW prolly would benefit
HTE is already too popular, im not suggesting that the BM would help reduce HTE because the events themselves keep it running. Yes, I will concede that clans running specific eb's may be hindered by the Black Market - but don't you understand that this is a good thing? It means clans can concentrate on epics that make the gold required to get large. The original haunting, ambush, RoTW and HTE would be used and players could decide to use their money for buildings, lands or unwanted equipment from others. Also, the latest events have a variety of different items that drop from several ebs - there's no way in hell that the BM would affect the range of EBs during these events as people try and gain those items. Clan loyalty would be respected with the black market. There would be no clan hoppers, no need to go to the only clan that is running Desert Sting that week as there may be an alternative. There are only a finite number of equipment in this game if people stop these ebs. That puts up their price - do you really think people may decide to spend the 500b for an item or just do that eb b2b for a few days?
I understand everything fine. I owned a clan n ran eb schedules n i tell u i'd only do HtE n RotWB n Scrag eb's if i needed EQ etc that could be bought. Goes like this ppl my size only play eb for best gold n relic scrolls. Smalls n up play eb's in their range for eq etc. If everything could be bought ppl would clan hop at will.
Smalls and up play to reach the level of larger accounts. The goal for small players isn't to have the best equipment, but to be big and be able to hit the larger ebs and accounts in wars. The equipment on the way is a pass-time to make it more bearable to be small, but if they can save the gold, gain stats and have better equipment to hit larger ebs for more gold then there is no downside
The data for that doesnt even matter. You cant even count people that hop onto a thread and see an easy way out so they write support. More than half the people who wrote support arwnt looking at all effects of each and every player. This is why even with your data that devs would never let this be a player decision..which is why devs always say no to this idea.
Did, at any point, I say this was a 100% scientifically accurate selection of data? I was asked to provide numbers of builds, stats and I added equipment from events. It gives a representative of the active forum community throughout the run since publishing of the OP. The data is also skewed as more people, in general, will say support than no support. However, it gives an indication of where this idea is placed throughout the community. The data is as impartial as I can be as the OP, it is clear that the ratio of support:no support in regards to years played decreases as more years after the peak at 3ish years. However, there are still a greater number of supporters of the more aged players of KaW and we can assume they care about the longevity of the game to decide before they post their opinion as to what they believe. You cannot say that purely because there are some players that do no think through ideas, that all the opinions are void
And I was asked to provide numbers and data, so I'm not going to accept that it was a poor decision in any shape or form. I simply provided a service to enable us all to have a more informed chat than pure speculation on support.
Did I say you said that? No. I'm simply stating that there are many people on kaw that do not think through their supports nor their no supports. It doesn't even prove where the kawmmunity is. Honestly a select few who have been around all years on kaw who support each side would need to debate it together. Those players also have to be well known supporters of the kawmmunity with no "bad" tou history on their records. The playerbase matters but a debate only matters when people are in it for the right decisions and thought processing. Which is what I'm stating. This is why even though the war crystal idea had so many supporters that it simply did not make it, devs couldn't even do it. I know the process of updates and ideas. I kept a list with 500+ kawmmnuity ideas, I shot down ideas from the list that we're already told no and that would harm the kawmmnuity, nobody ever had a problem with how I ran my list. Sadly when devs released the update request forum section, they were going to use my list and start doing it but they never got around to it, now the thread is gone.
Yes its unscientific data but its data. KILLZONE makes a valid point also. Furthermore the sample size is very small n hardly speaks for the majority n not most votes wins an election. Now if their was massive support to Ops ideas the devs would be listening much harder.
That thread was a beauty of creativity killzone, I enjoyed reading it often - sucks that it's gone. However, the point of this thread was not to develop a debate of pro VS against. It was to gather a sense of feeling towards such an idea. I don't disagree with either your points Killzone nor with nighthawks, and if a BM was to ever be introduced into the game then it needs to be done in a controlled way that is fair for all players. However, I think we need to change the topic of this discussion slightly to a point of constructive criticism. How would you tweak this idea to improve it? How, in your opinions, would make this idea viable in any, shape or form?
Moody this is a Pro vs Con debate;because, in the end there isn't much you can do to make it work out in retrospect. PROS: Profit off beginner players Sell unused equipment Benefit those who can't afford to do the promos Players will be able to war focusing on primarily upgrading their already purchased equip CONS: Nobody finds worth in their equipment hunt Eb Clans will focus primarily on TSG(for inferno drops) and HTE for money Multiple players now hold a LB Banner while some actual promo LB players still possess and use this People will wait after promo ends and just purchase the previous banner while the newest is still not extrordinarily better(because none really are) Players who work hard for their Promo rewards will feel ripped off from all the cash they spent (in order to have an item nobody else will be able to obtain after the event ends) War equip will become pointless to work hard to get when you can just sell/buy it(at least when you do purchase this equip you still need to war to buy it from the oracle).
I agree with the point of most of the supporters are doing it for selfish reasons for personal gain, not for the betterment of the game and community. This idea only encourages people to play more HTE and gold farm and not to grow stats, but bfe and bfa. There would be more drop builds, sh, and too many people who want something that they didnt earn or deserve. Im all for a new gold sink to help out the economy, but i feel like this idea would actually hurt the ally market not help. All the gold would go to the top tier players not the smaller ones. Which inturn that gold would be reinvested into allies which would increase the inflated ally market prices.
