I do think the prestige system needs a dramatic rework. Why is it that clans that actually fight end up lower than clans that never fight? That's just dumb in my opinion. To fight and lose is far more honorable than to not fight at all. I think at the start of a season all prestige should be set at ZERO. Winners get 50 points, losers get 10 points, and people who don't fight they stay at ZERO as they have done nothing prestige worthy.
I've said 100 times, if they want to keep players playing quit taking the rancor level away when you lose. I've spent way too much $ on xtals for these wars & only have 2 rancor level to show for it. It's BS.
We will definitely look at what we can do to increase participation for season 2. The key points we want to examine are: * Lower the barrier of entry for players that want to play * Keep the reward system simple * Keep the costs reasonable, and avoid discouraging clans that want to participate Thanks for keeping the discussions going!
I've read a lot of these threads, and a common theme seems to be the cost to participate; especially for the non-EE specific clans. The major cost being that of Mithril. Given that everyone casts max spells, there is no strategic use in doing it. So why not take Mithril spells out of the equation all together? That way, people aren't loosing 14B in spells, just the pots they use or have burnt, and the cost of crystals. I'd bet more clans would give it a go, if their members werent losing so much. It's just a thought.
I think to the vanish epic should be count war plunder too. I think war_plunder plunder_in_epic = more mith should get ppl who active in war (and try to help clan win) not only ppl who xtaled in vanish palanin epic
there should be only increasing rancor levels - so no level decreasing and participation should be limited. What I mean? All ppl should have only for example 30 attempts to join war and after this should be count wins and lost and they get rewards. Coz it's not fair that some ppl do 50 wars in tournament and some did only 10......
Thanks for the update devs. Good job opening up the Paladin eb for the losers in war. @ TrueSaxon, I've thought the same thing about everyone matching up in mith & what's the point. Either take mith out or have it be a % based increase depending on the players build. That would shake up the use of mith.
I agree the system at the moment is strange.. But I do not agree that you should make it so losers gain. Right now if you lose war you lose gold and depending on mith lost you lose some(Eb usually gives back around 14 mith which is how much you spent). I think if you lose war you lose items. Not as much as it is now but some, little tweaks are needed and while probably be added. In the end tho losers shouldn't gain anything... It's a war game you don't make profit in war unless you win.
Your math is way off it is like 50-70 bill to war each weekend. It's making me not grow is what stops me from warring.
I hate being a suck up to the mods but moose is right that's a much simpler way of encouraging losing warers to war again... I wonder what it's like to ee... Never have time for it...
The biggest problem for me in EE wars is having to have 2 crystals. EVERY war. I can't spend $2 to participate in every war, and no I don't have the time to constantly do quests, so please don't say that. I'm sure many people will agree with me, that it is alot to spend, say, $10 a week on crystals, on a free game. So yea, that's just my two cents. I don't really have a solution, because I know the devs have to make money somehow, but I sure do know the problem
I lost my 1st ee war at inc. against Zaft corp. I didn't stop, I was determined I've been in 71 ee wars after n won all but 6. If I want as stubborn i'da gave up too. FULL SUPPOR WIN
