I agree, but it is that high of a percentage because we can't maintain a new player now matter how hard we tried.
If we could keep the 10-20% of actual new players the games activity in all aspects would increase tremendously. I feel as if enhanced plunder at least for t1-t4 ebs would be necessary to do, along with an updated tutorial.
I'm saying increase it more. They need to do something, and that seems like a simple solution for the lack of gold new players receive. It's a bandaid fix, wouldn't be permanent, but along with a better description of clans and the social aspect of the game, I think it would help.
If the forum community is so worried about new player retention then why not take it into your own hands? All of you have alts im sure, there's atleast 20 people posting with concern over this issue on here. All of you get together start a training clan with your alts, running a newb clan is easy with 20 active admin. See how it goes. If it flops at least u tried Keep the chat active and helpful and players will stay. Most leave bc newb clans are dead more than anything id say. Hell if enough of you would help out i will start it. But it will have to be many as im not getting stuck doing all the work in cc lol. Yes id actually hang up my newb farming ways and use my drop build to protect them. Has to be a community effort though as i dont have time to run a clan with only a few admin
That would be difficult, considering some peoples alts aren't really that active and are used mainly for gold banks and such. I agree, starting a training clan would be good, but that's 20 alts from different clans and families and... Well Im sure you can see the issue with having a bunch of people from different(and enemy) clans. I think clans should just have a training clan within there own families, but it won't happen because that's easy targets if the clan is in OSW or such.
Lets see how many more volunteer. And if we get enough they may want to vote on dif leader as im not particularly loved here in forums.lol
It's a solid idea, but who would be leader? Would the admins be decent enough to actually take time to train the new players in KaW? How would you train them, towards ebs or the aspect of PvP? Questions like that should be considered first.
Training ebs is easy. Any experienced player can do that. As far as war ive got over 5 years experience in farming and osw and so do many others on this thread. Training for e wars someone else would have to take that. Ive done em but not an expert. Picking a leader idc who it is. Wouldnt have to be me, i probably do have the best drop builds on this thread. I have several and this is my weakest. So i could def help protect the newbs. Check out the clan im in and lets play who has the most drop builds lol But seriously its up to you all, i dont even have to be a part of it. As i said im not well loved on here, probably not the best advocate for it. Feel free to take my idea and run with it
Thats the thing about kaw though. Many like to talk about helping or making a change but i doubt many will step up
Well as there is an identified weakness with the tutorials and the topic is new player progression, i would suggest that the training clan be for stage 1 beginners only. So covering basic builds, allies, accessing ebs (tier 1). New players could then be gently pushed towards stage 2 pvp beginner clans or event eb clans for growth depending on their interests. I had thought of something like this before as one clan leader had a tutorial on ally trading posted on his wall in several parts. That could be replicated for different game aspects. I'm taking my ego out of this and am happy to devote an hour a day in my tz to help with recruiting new players, chatting in cc, volleys, etc. For names though, please something boring and non-partisan. Kawcademy? Or KAW Academy?
I have about as much kaw knowledge as one can obtain. Being that I am starting a brand new account, and this is my main, I would love to do something like this. You can count me in.
