  1. Look there are ppl that feel that eating meat is wrong - they view that all eating of meat as participating in murder

I rather that the Chinese ppl desire to end this practice on their own accord and not us westerners impose our beliefs on another culture

  2. And I thought I could escape Twitter trash by browsing the KaW forums......

  3. this, though I don't get people that think eating meat is wrong in some way you are eating a living organism

  4. Texas A&M aggies love animals a bit too much if you know what I mean

  5. That being said I'm going to assume you buy meat from stores or go out to fast food/restaurants to eat from time to time.

Ever wonder how those animals are treated before they're slaughtered and packaged for you to eat?

Those chicken nuggets you love so much, the hamburgers you eat, the bacon you love to eat for breakfast.

Ever taken the time to see how those animals are treated before they're slaughtered for your enjoyment (I say enjoyment because you enjoy eating them, not in some sick psychopathic way)

  6. Don't assume. It just makes an ASS out of U and ME :D

  7. The tv most likely told them what to think

  8. Full support

  9. It's the torture and slaughter that is the issue not the eating of meat get back on track and stop focusing on something that isn't the issue.

  10. This..

    Hopefully they'll finally get it

  11. Should I bring my own sweet baby rays barbecue sauce or will condiments be provided . I'd eat my neighbors dog if it was slathered in some sweet baby rays.

  12. *Cue terrible comment that doesn't reflect my viewpoints*

    You are what you eat

  13. Silencio wow just wow...

  14. I'd like to be human.
Guess I'll see you guys on the news in a week, be back soon I gotta prep.

  15. Welcome to the internet, I see it's your first time.

  16. Hahaha no definatly not my first time dealing with people like you hun. Though I wish it was. Also derailing thread so if you have further to say to me take to pm or newsfeed.

  17. Hahahaha you got me castiel, I am not Hannibal lecter so I guess I am not what I eat

On topic, sure it's hard to swallow these animals dying how they are, but, and correct me if I'm wrong, isn't it the citizens of China that participate in the festival?

You want thousands of poor peasants to humanely euthanize animals?

Are animals even edible once they've been euthanized?

It's the way it is and a petition won't change that, the only way to change it is time and hope that as their society evolves so do the their traditions

  18. I'm surprised how little I give a rats ass what's going on with societies outside Canada. I prolly saved 11 deserted animals in Canada in the last year.
I care about Canadian culture eroding and ppl eating domestic animals. I certainly care about cruelty to animals, here.
So if a part of the world finds it acceptable to be primitive in their culture I'm more worried about them bringing it here.
Were I to jump into an international issue I'd be more concerned about cruelty and lack of rights women have so many places in the world.
If you want to send a real message quit buying all the crap you do from them. Check where your cat and dog collar is made. Cats toys, food packaging, don't you feel silly now. If the package say " Made in a Country where women have no voice, or We cook live dogs on Spits" don't buy anything from them, ever again. When they get to Canada now they are read the riot act on, " no if you die your brother doesn't get your house and your wife as a servant" , so piss off go back where you came from. I'll write my mp and ask him to add dogs. Truth is most ppl come here to get away from primitive and cruel societies. Have a beer, stay awhile.
Or you could nuke Em. Giterduun.

  19. Traditions are not so easily changed. They hold the same place in cultures that some religions do, and we've all seen how good religions are about adapting.
But one sure-fire way to make things worse is try to force change. When you force change, people rebel.
When people rebel, things get worse.
And I'm positive, given that you genuinely seem to care for these animals, that you don't want things worse for them.

  20. If we boycott everything Chinese our economy will stall. How will we care for our pets then?
(See how I stayed on topic)
