While I agree with the spy remark, setting equip you can only get during a 2 day promo will only cause players to rage. Instead of that solution why not bring back the side by side PvE/PvP promos? The last ones they ran fell flat because it was the same prizes for more effort. They could have easily set PvP prizes easier to obtain (smaller tiers) or Better (Add a PvP or PvE bonus to them) & players would have never complained. Personally, out side of that they were great, if they made PvP more tempting then players would be more involved while using hte/Zta to self pin as you said above. It would work out to the devs advantage. Die hard PvP players could have their fill of 2 weeks of PvP promo while PvE players never haft to step outside there comfort zone unless they choose. Seals & Xtals will still be bought in masses & everyone wins.
Mith Equipment should be buffed a bit and re-released in a new set, comparable to the event equipment and glass cannon as the traditional ones - maximize attack, minimize defense. Even if they were subpar to event equip, maybe adding a plunder bonus for pvp? I don't understand why so few items have this, and it offers a different playstyle to the eb items, which everyone rocks currently. Diversity increases. I also don't understand why blitz doesn't give sb or something worthwhile. At my size, 15k is made before the first week ends. The only reason I have to join is to get one quiver for a 5% plunder boost. My two cents
I myself hardly play kaw anymore but on weekends for PvP blitz. It allows me to keep up and grow with out mashing my phone Tuesday through Thursday. But hey if you wanna increase it I'm good with that too..
I don't know how I feel about leaning on items for PvP. I think it just reinforces the EB side of things. I liked the idea of rewarding PvP players with something different from the EB rewards. I have posted before that this game need - in my opinion - something to shake up the battle/hitting model. Different equipment would do it. Perhaps giving different bonuses. I also think that we should address the fact that PvP events now are OAF/OSF fests. I am not sure if it could be implemented but there should be a loss counter for PvP. The same way a military unit becomes combat ineffective after losing a certain percentage of its troops an account should stop dropping PvP items after they lose a certain number of attacks/steals in 12/24 hours Say that if you lose 250 attacks or 250 steals in 12 hours you go on a 24 hours cool down where you don't drop any more PvP items. I think that would make PvP 'real' and the items could be assigned according to skill as opposed to OAF/OSF access.
The current pvp system is broken anyways it's just people dumping troops on eb and trying to steal whoever you can Typically someone 1/4 your size for easy steals which is probably why people don't want to cast.
