True. In 2011 there were no age restrictions on modding, and look what happened. I like you Benny, but, you were an underage mid who abused his moderator toolbox and silemced half of wc because you thought it was funny. That was a very childish action J3 was an underage moderator who, upon getting the spot, went immediately, inactive. We had anither child moderator (won't name this one) who had to stop modding because his mom grounded him. ATA wisely looked at the track record of child moderstors and decided it wasn't worth it. Now thst we have audits running things, the team has gotten a lot more stable becsuse we don't deal with childish issues any longer.
People in school are still growing so they need more sleep than an adult. People in school need more time to study and learn. Adults on the other hand have work but most jobs don't require time outside of work to do the job. School kids also need to complete their studies to a decent standard and if they want to do that they won't have enough time to be a decent enough member of staff for the community. Also as mango said apple doesn't allow members of staff to be under 18. Also I believe that the age requirement was brought in towards the end of 2011.
I was gonna say support when i read the original thread but after reading everyones opinions, this actually isn't such a great idea. People have a lot of great points. I do believe there should be more moderators due to the fact people do stuff and don't get silenced because all mods are away.
ATA is a pretty innovative company. They did try taking in children and letting them help, and each child they took in was a disappointment. They have "been there and done that". Part of being innovative is walking away from things that don't work
Moose, your evidence for Benny? And the moderator grounded was abbysus - no need to keep it a secret. We were close friends.
Abyssus was grounded? Lol, but he seemed to be atleast 18. Such a horrible way to go. He was a little stuck up though.
