Not foolproof...had my bracers reset on 6-7, and greaves at 7-8 trying it this way. In fact ive had 7 of last 10 enchant attemts fail including those resets...back to back non-reset fails of cloak and whip. The mage resetting gear is the biggest possible middle finger from developers to players. What a load of crap.
