As a lot of people have noticed the trade community has been dwindling and it's harder to sell/ buy things. The biggest reason was the card update. Kaw took the one major currency players used (Large xtals/prisms) and replaced it with cards. They did this for 3 reasons. 1. To stop ppl from botting and exploiting the currency. 2. To kill off some of the black market trading that wasn't supposed to be a thing. 3. Increase the value of large xtals/ prisms. Now I can't say they didn't achieve the goal. But they also didn't stop what they wanted. The cards were a great idea and in theory switching to a new trade currency should raise the price of Large xtals/prisms. But the abundance of large xtals and prisms instead , stayed or dropped in the charm conversion rate. 2-3 b per large X which was 3b. Ppl used Large xtals and prisms bc they were easier / and faster to trade. Specially if you bought 10 large xtals at 3bcs charms each. Instead of 30bcs in charms in multiple trades you would trade 10 large xtals. Making the trade community a lot happier. With the card update it was a great idea but there was only 2 problems. Instead of spending like 2 events to make a large x. You basically spend 2-3 to get 2-3 mythic cards. Which would be great for the trade community if there wasn't a limit on the best cards. Putting a limit on those cards does stop exploiting, but it also caused the trade market to go under. You basically take away the one trade value currency and replace it with something that cannot be used as the new kaw trade currency. Yes charms are typically the most use trade currency. But its like paying 1,000$ in 1 dollar bills (normal charms) vs paying in 20's or 100's (large xtals/prisms). I do understand why a limit on cards were made for those exploiters. But you really can't punish everyone using the system for a few bad eggs. Long-term for trading something needs changed so either cards can be the new currency or bring back large xtals/prisms per event Thank you for reading if you made it this far ♥️
