Support, my grandfather served in the US Army during the Korean War, and he recently passed. Also, my partner served in the USMC and National guard for 10 years with 4 deployments. He was a CPL in the USMC and a Sgt in the national guard. He still suffers from what he's seen, so I support this thread fully.
I don't understand why people have a problem with this thread, I am not American but does that stop me from respecting people who have fought and died for their country? You guys just need grow and stay out of the thread if you don't like it.
We have something very similar in the UK and, to me certainly, the following epitaph hits quite hard: "When you go home, tell them of us and say, For your tomorrows these gave their today." The OP wrote very well, these days are not for arguing about politics or ethics but simply to remember the very real sacrifice that some people have been asked to make.
