Os-VirginSurgeon was a very good friend of mine. He didn't leave Osiris and or KaW cuz of the war. He had family things come up and went sort of semi retired. And during the time he was semi retired, he realized that KaW was just a game and that it had gotten in the way of real life and he decided that everyone has to quit sometime and this was his time. And trust me, he was loyal to Osiris and if he had not decided to quit, he'd still be there.
I wouldn't be surprised if hunter is telling the truth. Ata needs sales to cont running a profitable game. and the best way to sell weapons is to first create a war. And there are many, many ways to start a war which no one wins except the dev.

Seriously if any of that is even true the clan made wouldn't have the same name as the effing company that's completely stupid. If you're going to run some kind of secret insurgence into an online game to expand profits meanwhile going after the wallets of those who already spend tons on the game and are bound to look for some kind of suspicious activity, you would conceal it as best you could. You're completely fishing. Why was cambji banned then if Yafi is an ATA creation for higher grossing sales? And how did u know about the ban to conduct a large strip? Your accusatory story can cut both ways, it's so far fetched that it almost seems believable to some on here. Trust me, the devs are having no problem with their sales, and the action they took to 'even the playing field' and give a boost to the stagnating xtal/nob sales was removing Pwars (an exploit that caused many of the war vets to stop playing most of which were regular xtal purchasers). And present efforts: all the new updates which entice more and more sales to keep up with growth and stats (which also helps keep 'superpower' clans to sit comfortably on mounds of gold). In short, your theory and assumptions are shaky at best and represent a serious need for a reevaluation of how you should spend your time: trying to dig up secret, maniacal, most likely non-existent connections of a clan on an online game to that game's developers - probably not the healthiest way to spend ones' hours of the day. But, to each his own.
@cynderstryke I agree with most of your statement. One of the reasons I didn't go into the conspiracy talk because I wanted to focus on the history and the facts involved. Also false accusations are a quick way to get a thread locked. However, I do acknowledge that breaking up Osiris at the time would be beneficial to the overall health of Kaw. But just because a move makes sense does not indicate it really happened. One thing, however, your reasoning that yafi would not be stupid enough to name their clan after the company ignores the fact that people do obviously stupid things everyday, just look at CIA head David Petraeus. Sure naming the company after the clan in hindsight is stupid, but I doubt they were worried much about getting caught. Either way, I hope to keep my history more focused on in-game issues.
Unfortunately Appleseed, history really depends on who writes it. If you think it is so wrong, correct it. Just because I am not kissing either clans butt does not make it wrong.
Update: Another ceasefire is in place between Osiris and Yafi. Lets see how many days this one lasts. Lol
