Happiness over Freedom [What our world needs]

  1. That quote is interesting, however how would you judge if someone's choice is wrong or right? Interestingly though, there have been studies showing that people were "happier" (or at least they were settling easier) with an outcome (mostly choosing a reward, giving up a belonging) where they had no choice compared to when they had to make a choice.

Most people get out of bed to satisfy some basic needs, and not necessarily to seek happiness during that day.

So in exchange of happiness, I'd get "a world with no emotion". Somewhat interesting, happiness would fall into the emotional category to me. A bit of a contradiction.

Happiness is extremely subjective, how would you ever be able to induce it on a general population level? I fear you'll come up with ideas we just celebrated yesterday the 70 years of riddance.

  2. "Dammit, Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can't be taken away with the wave of a magic wand. They're things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don't want my pain taken away. I need my pain." - Kirk

  3. Freedom is happiness. When you take away freedom you take away the foundation of happiness. This suggestion is just ultimately disgusting.

  4. No support, life is illuminati lolol

  5. Plus, don't bring real life into games

  6. It makes horses annoyed

  7. Ever read Anthem? You're imagining an utopian, but nothing is that perfect, we can not have a perfect world. If you're basing it off those books then you need to go back and read them again. They're all happy at first, but soon as they start discovering all the things they're missing they seek to find out more, with all the pain and other emotions they begin to feel, they become quite happy without the control of the government

  8. Waiting for OP to wake up

  9. I liked it. It showed that everyone was equal.

  10. Why do you want to suffer? Also what's wrong with the government giving us this happiness.

  11. Trust me freedom dose not exist. Not even today. The government is brainwashing you and telling you that you guys have "freedom". People who believe they have freedoms are an idiot.

  12. FYI: Thats how heaven is. God gives us happiness. We can form heaven in this world, :)

  13. North Korea is not like the world I'm picturing

  14. This reminds me of Fahrenheit 451.

In other news, "happiness" is subjective. Happiness is not the same for everyone. You can brainwash others to feel "happiness," but it's really just a form of feel-good thing.

Or not. It's all what you make it out to be until you actually do it, study it, and gather notes from all other testers in the control group and the... Uh... Baby-tube things.

Until then, this entire thread is fun for speculation. :D

  15. Needs new flavors of Cheetos,

  16. ...you need freedom to attain happiness..

  17. So you don't trust the gov't is giving us freedom, yet you will trust them to give you happiness. And this is why we have hope and change for a president.

Happiness is working hard to achieve a goal. Something I doubt you have ever done.

You say heaven is this idea you have so obviously you believe in god. Isn't it god who gave man freedom to chose? (According to the bible)

You my friend, are clueless about what life and freedom are about. You are a walking hypocrisy.

  18. Well it had to be a stat less noob.
But regardless. Congratulations on being the author of, the most ill thought out ridiculous nonsense to of ever been posted in forums.

And yes I include the bong drivel in that assessment of the worthiness of this post. Please never enter forums again, thus sparing us from your inane ramblings.
Ps. Please do not take offence at my feelings towards your post. It just quite clearly did not make me happy reading it.
