Spilatch That sir is an excellent post. Everyone has the right to self determine their religion and lack there of. Freedom of belief is essential and a key human right. A right denied to many. And just as many are forced into religion due to environment, as others choose to find religion, others have the right not to believe in any god. Each person has the right to their view and to discuss it openly and freely. Kaw is a free speech forum. People have their right to express their opinions without being flamed and victimised. ( as long as they cause no harm to others ).
me too anyway  But what if we choose it ourselves? I choose to believe in Christianity not because it's my parent's religion or I am baptized as a Christian but because I do believe mysteries occur in the world which science didn't know. Plus the fact that the story in the bible match with science. But I choose this path not because it's what I know, but because it's what I believe is true base in everyday life. I just disagree when others are forced. I truly believe we just mostly lack of acceptance. This happened from the past until now. I just don't understand if why would other Christians forced them but that doesn't mean ALL did the same you know..... every person is different in different ways that's why I don't want to judge... (except if my temper act before my mind :? )
What story matches up with science that's in the bible? Lots of Christians say Noah's ark story Even though there would be mass erosion that we would have found.
Come on guys use your brains , the Old Testament is used as a way to explain things that a less advanced people couldn't explain Like how the earth was formed and where humans came from They're just stories written by men. There's just too much science now for any of it to be believable Quick story. I was raised catholic , went to catholic school, in my late teens early 20s I stopped believing in god , Big Bang evolution etc I just think it's a miracle we are here but it has nothing to do with a man in the sky On the other hand , my mother is still extremely religious . She sees the Big Bang , evolution etc as the work of god . And that's fine . Do not deny science though just to try to validate believing in god . You look uneducated and ignorant . Ok that is my last post In this thread Again happy Wednesday
noah's ark?..... Who said that? :?: noah isn't....... (base on my opinion..) the creation of the world matches with how the earth is made. But one of the conflicts is the dinosaurs. But others said that a year or so is only one day for him. And the Bible has many stories which match with the real life problems. But other new problems are made as the time pass. But I do believe in spirits, especially that there are real life encounters on it (you know what I mean). Imagine, can science tell something about spirits? no. Because, how would a scientist perform the scientific method in them? Lots of things aren't discovered yet, so I don't assume you that what I'm talking about is 100% but many things are still a mystery. So I think none of us even know if what is the earth's origins from the start, so me myself just wait.
don't assume that much yes we didn't know if it's true or not but can you please have respect. If we don't have respect then maybe the world right now has wars everyday, with Christians and Muslims battling. And again, NOT ALL DID THE SAME THING AND NOT ALL PEOPLE ARE ALIKE. Every person is different in different ways. We are all ignorants actually, why? because we can't accept the fact that we believe and you don't. I keep my mouth shut in this game and luckily I'm not a religious muslim because unlike some Christians muslims are brave and wouldn't give up so easily. Just please, if we let you not believe and follow our religion then let us believe in what we want too. Done.
As I said, I thought you ment Noah's ark because in my experience that's there. They don't match too much the same And we can somewhat explain spirits/ghosts, the chances of one being real is insanely low the chances of the brain misinterpreted something is insanely higher. But I agree with you it is not 100%, I just don't think we should use the god explanation to everything we do not know like the Greeks etc.
We don't use God explanation. Well, should I say, not all of us. I wish your respond is late or I'm gonna make it larger and bold as well....
@ Aliassa First off , obviously you didn't read my post whichI'm sure is common for you, not fully grasping or understanding what someone is saying hence having the mindset you do now In no way did I attack religion 2nd you ask any catholic priest about the Old Testament and I know because I have asked, and he will tell you it is not supposed to be taken literally Only fundamental believers take the bible and the Koran literally and we see what happens when religious texts are taken literally right? You get extremist ideologues Religious texts are open to interpretation. But you must understand that they were written by a less scientific and knowledgable people. To deny evolution or deny something that the scientific world sees as truth just so you can believe Noah had an ark , is ridiculous . Open your eyes, please. And they drag me back in .....
Again. If we let you not believe in our religion, then let us believe in what we want. we aren't 100% sure and humans like us haven't discover the origin of our world and everything around us. I'm tired repeating the same word and being controlled by my temper..... again: {color=red]If we let you not believe in our religion, then let us believe in what we want.[/color]
I'm not sure why you keep twisting my posts and making them an attack on your beliefs If I said "hey we aren't breathing air , we are breathing gods magic mouth gas he made for me " You'd say "man that sounds crazy because as we all know , we breath air, but hey he can believe what he wants to believe " So that response is exactly what I'm saying In regards to taking the Old Testament literally. But who am I to judge ? You can believe whatever the hell you want to believe
I respect you, but pls respect us as well. We don't do anything to you do we? I would say that isn't true, but if you take it seriously, who am I to say what you want to do? I'm not your parent and you're not a robot to follow every instructions right? Others just don't know how some take it seriously, and how some made it change their lives. In our country, there are prisoners who change their lives because of being taught by the lesson of the bible. If religions don't exist, then almost all of the ppl in our world don't care about doing bad things. Same as me, if I don't believe, then I would suffer depression after a few more weeks, and may commit suicide after a year.....
Sorry ashes I don't believe spilacth has attacked religion at all. Questioning religion is healthy. In fact it is essential for everyone. If you cannot justify your faith, then you are not a true believer. If people make the choice to follow religion ( after my post I'm not sure where that remark came from but ) then that is their absolute right to do so. Everyone is free to worship anything they choose as long as they do no harm. Those who commit harm do not follow the teachings of any religion. They abuse religion for their own agenda. I personally do not believe anyone can truly say what is and is not correct until we are dead and find out for ourselves. I believe we should all try to improve the world and make it better for our presence on it.
