I appreciate your feedback Clay, but I still don't think it would kill any strips. I believe it would cause a lot more strips. Pot burning does play a major role in OSW. This wouldn't affect pot burning either. If your opponent waste all their troops and spies trying to pin their on players, then they are getting their ass handed to them. It's a win/win situation.
I support this idea to an extent. I agree that it would pick up PvP by a lot and add an extra element to the game. However it would make growing much more difficult, thus I say that there should be some sort of way of earning this feature, such as a spell or rather low chance rating, and also a way to make impossible for it to happen (again a mith spell). Simply allowing it to be unchecked would be far too chaotic.
I like the idea, but i think it just can be a single scout that gives the amount of gold out. I think their has to be more to it. Like the idea, just would like to see there be more work into figuring out the amount of gold. Maybe if your on a 10 scout streak? Or maybe a special mith spell that last am hour and gives the ability? Hell maybe even like nobility points it can be set to a percentage rate. A single scout doesn't cut it out for me. Too easy for too much information in my opinion.
Kinda piggybacking a little here but... Something I had suggested to the devs years ago was to make a Scoutbomb sort of attack. Call it 10x Scout or whatever. Essentially it would have the exact same effect as hitting the scout button ten times. Just ten scouts in a row, but all at once. Maybe tie that in with this technique you're proposing, where a normal scout doesn't tell you anything other than what it tells you today, but there is a 10x Scout attack that sends 10 scouts in a blast and then tells you how much money they have out. Like you have to invest a little extra in the scouting to get the added info. Plus who wouldn't love being able to bomb someone's spies down with a little less button mashing? Just throwing this out there, I'm totally down with your idea exactly as proposed, too. Either way. Anything that increases the tendency toward pvp and osw, really.
Keep the feedback coming. Just remember, you can always bank your hard earned gold if you're too scared to leave it out.
Loved the idea giz, but tmh that would make EE war a little too easy with scout bomb button since we usually do scouts to ko an opponent
Giz I'm not just saying support because i know u and ur my friend, but I seriously SUPPORT that's a great idea. However, to make it a little more interesting I think if it was a mith spell, like the one we have now, except this one for scouts to show the amount of gold they have out, that'd be amazing!! SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT!
I fail to see how this kills strips. If you're in OSW, or simoly fear getting hit, you can bank your good in bronze bars or attack pots, thus showing any scouts thst you have zero gold. I see this as a way to curb KaW inflation and increase PvP. Personally, I'd love to scout around for people with fat cash siting out.
Gizmo, I had another meal after midnight and love this idea. I suggested on an ee thread (forget which one) that scout successes should be brought more in line with the steal and assassinate successes to balance out the guild hansel "problem". I think that proposal would sit well with the naysayers on this thread to balance out the discovery aspect for gold out. I personally don't mind either way as far as that's concerned. I just want to see this happen. Great idea.

Bronze bars = uses TOOO much TIME for that EXTRA gold D: eg, you need 1t you have 990 bil, someone starts farming you suddenly lose 10-30b!!!! Maybe 100b :3.
