The reason America rebuilt was in order to stop Taliban takeover. You don't just destroy a country's army and then let it get taken over by the Taliban. You rebuild it so its army can defend against the Taliban. Then you have a strong regional ally to defend your nation's interests in that region. Duh. America expanded its territory into the Middle East. There will now be more prosperity in that region and after the nation develops, the USA will in the future have a strong ally and trading partner. Republicans would've done the same as Democrats in the Middle East. Obama just continued with Republican plan. Several dictatorships were overthrown and democracies established. On another note: the goal of completely pulling troops out of Afghanistan is a bad idea. America will need to keep a few thousand troops there for several years to come in order to ensure that the Taliban remains suppressed.
I don't live in the states. I just did a conversion from Canadian prices. Premium gas and exchange rate. Gas prices don't bother me because it's just a necessity of my life ferrying around the family and going to work. As for premium gas, that's a choice based on suv purchased.
I'm gonna b driving in a few months and all I care about is tht the gas isn't more than $4 to the gallon
1) there have been some in depth articles arguing that various market forces may lead gas prices to rise down the road - so the shale oil producers in US may be able to ride this out if they can get the credit to tide themselves over 2) other argument is that this is also a power move by U.S. Allies to pressure Russia by dropping prices to the point where Russia (which relies on oil profits) is under serious economic pressure along w other sanctions - idk but interesting idea
