Game Mechanics Open Dicussion

  1. Once again I have hit a number of targets that have a def 500-1m smaller than my attack stats and I consistently lose when bfa, pp, spells, and pots are equal or a non issue. I notice when I am full troops I see a barely won report when I win yet with 5/6 attacks my opponent is pinned. How is this remotely possible? I also see an increase in the number of times these smaller opponents rally on the brink of defeat. I don't care what any of the mods say, this is ridiculous. It needs to be looked at and devs need to address the issue

  2. For me the mechanics of the game became odd with the introduction of the level 2 castle ! Seemed to Make a lot more sense then than it does now.

  3. Have anyone found about this or have the devs said anything ?

  4. No... Bear in mind folks that some of posters in this thread have BFA's @ 200 million- yeah you read that correctly.

They should NEVER have anything more than a very rare fail hitting stripped build.

  5. Yes but for those of us with slightly less than 200m bfa the game seems unfairly balanced still. I've read all the stuff about the factors involved in determining the w/l outcome and none of it seems to address the issue we are discussing.

  6. So you're saying it's weird that I went 2/6/0 on an allyless, potless player the other day? One that had 300k less def than my attack? When I was using all attack pots? lol

Riddle me that. I'd love to see anyone who actually takes the other side of the argument defend their stance with real numbers. Anyone with half a brain can see something is off here.

  7. Bump.
Predictable game mechanics are critical for keeping this game sane

  8. Great post Reborn. I'm waiting for belle to show us her unmatched understanding of gaming mechs before I chime in with answers that are likely totally wrong. 

I gave a long winded explaination of lots of this before, I'll look for it. It has to do with deteriorating values. Try testing against some tower builds. You'll be amazed by what you find.

  9. @iProphet, do tell.
What did u see in case of tower builds?

  10. The part of the game mechanics that I don't understand is in this situation. You have 2 kingdoms hlbc one with 3.8mil attack hitting another with 4mil def. the 3.8mil kingdom uses max pots(13) and has 5-8 times more bfa then the 4mil def kingdom and only has up 4-7 pots. I seem to lose more than 50% and the wins are narrow margin which causes heavy troop loss on the attacking side. It seems silly that I have to assassinate the other kingdom down 1/3 to get better winning percentages. I really think the scales are off and need to be adjusted.

  11. Again I am intrigued. But in the end. If the game mechanics dont reflect hard numbers such as allies, pro packs, potions etc then were all getting ripped off. The 1-2% random loss is great but anything more is the game being manipulated to increase sales.

  12. Also I believe there is what I call an overkill factor. I've noticed on some targets using max pots that I lose more than only using some of them or none at all. I war a lot so I'm constantly hitting live targets and not inactive ones. A few of my clanmates have experienced this as well.

  13. To interject more, my attack bfa is more than a hlbc build from it's buildings/troops. If I hit any BC Acct with no allies with full pots I should not be losing 30 % of the time. The odd part is I have better results below 60% troops than when full. I lose more first hit from full than any other

  14. Agreed Evil, in rw I have better luck sometimes using no pots

  15. It's frustrating especially using the 2 new pots vs 11 and my bfa is waaaay higher than the target I'm hitting. They need to update the old scale and improve upon it. If I'm fighting a kingdom with similar defenses to my attack and my bfa is 7x higher I should if we both are at full troops have a better chance to win then 45-55% especially when they aren't using max pots on defense. I would really like to see some devs touch base on the mechanics a little bit.

  16. I'm starting to think that the "Hansel" build should be the coward build. What's the whole point of being dtw in war and the hansel are only out. It's really stupid. Not much actions knowing they are all dtw. It should be like GaW. Where even the respect builds are able to be attacked...even with still no gold out.

  17. I've been noticing this too. In my previous war, these weak Hansel builds kept attacking me. I had full troops, they had no allies, only a forge. How could they possibly win against me in attacks?

  18. It's called pot burning... Lol

  19. Did you do 10-100 tests to confirm the authenticity of your results?
