The penny is one of the most used, and the one that Lincoln is the most widely recognized on. I say put Harriet Tubman on the 5.
The feminazi are at it again Don't u have a poetry slam or something better to do? We aren't even going to be using money anymore soon. Credits baby.
I think this whole thing is ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with having women on currency but it would be dumb to change it. Just my opinion.
Then they have a woman on the currency. And the people that think about the bill. Being on a coin is better then a note. Coins were used long before notes. Thats it end of story
I think Rosa Parks would be the best lady to put on a 50. Or maybe that girl on the posters from WW when girls went to the factories. Rose the Riveterr? I think that's her name. I think she could be on the 10
I think Martha Stewart would be the best role model for all girls! she knows her place is in the kitchen!
I'm sorry, but until a woman becomes equal to accomplishments of said queens on foreign currency, then they can be on the U.S. Currency. This country was founded by men and every major political figure that has deceased and played a major part in the founding of this country are men. Any women sign the Declaration of Independence, lead the charge for independence in war, be the most successful leader this country has ever seen or even a huge military general that won us a war that stood for everything we stood for? You'll answer no to all of these. That's because no woman has received the right to be a face of this nation as no woman has made the same accomplishments these men have. This isn't a sexist debate, this is a contribution to our very nation. I can't think of one woman that without her, this country wouldn't exist as it is today. Sorry Rosa Parks, but MLK would be much more worthy in that sense. And to the Tubman, I prefer Lincoln any day. Edit - We should remove Andrew Jackson from the $20. That's the only thing I can say about currency face changes. MLK would be a perfect fit for the $20 to be honest. Replace a racist who hated Native Americans for a man who was the face of the Civil Rights movement for all African-Americans.
Buuuuuuuuut Versa, Rosa Parks didn't give up her seat. Now, she wasn't the first one to do it, but who cares about the other ones, am I right? She def deserves to replace Hamilton, our first Secretary of the Treasury.
Hey. No. Hamilton is the second most attractive face, after Ben Franks. George Washington? Eww. But yea. Kick Jackson out.
I wouldn't have a problem with this if there was no change to any bills we have now. We haven't created a new bill in how many years? And these people have been the face on them for a long time. No need to take them off. Just create a 19.99 bill and put a women on it. Maybe Eleanor Roosevelt. She was one of the most respected women in America. And on a side note, why are they just stepping up to say this now? I mean really? That's just as bad as when there was a group of people who said they wanted money BC their ancestors were slaves. Smh. People will be humans. They will find something to argue over. But this is how I see it. This stuff is old. I mean old. And if you didn't say anything about it back then, why say anything about it now? and before anyone says "Well, women didn't always have rights" That amendment was passed in 1919. They could've said something 96 years ago if they thought it was so bad. Women today surely aren't like women 96 years ago who were glad to just have rights. They want more, and more and more. Just like every other person in the world. But, one thing is for sure, greediness gets you no where. Isn't that right, devs?
