The drops aren't "randomly starting". The first eb of each tier always drops the number above what the first eb of the previous tier did. Eg: Tier 1: 1st EB = (1) Tier 2: 1st EB = (2) Tier 3: 1st EB = (3) Tier 4: 1st EB = (4) Tier 5: 1st EB = (1) Tier 6: 1st EB = (2) Tier 7: 1st EB = (3) Tier 8: 1st EB = (4) Tier 10: 1st EB = (1) Tier 11: 1st EB = (2) As you said, within the tiers, the numbers increase by 1 from eb to eb (1>2>3>4). Another exception, besides the ones you mentioned, is TSG: In tier 10, it goes (1>2>3>1), so TSG should be shivs, but it isn't. This is the same as the last event, so it's an ongoing anomaly.
How to maximize drops in HTE: 1. Find another clannie 2. Split items phases between the both of you Player A gets p1 and Player B gets p2 3. Skim (like you should be doing) 4. Xtals have not been tested with this method 5. Enjoy approx 80-95 ct of all 4 event items
