ATA can and should be criticized for the way they handled similar issues in the past. Now they handled it in the right way in my opinion. Nothing to be criticized about recent actions.
Ethics in a tap tap game, that's rich.. Regardless of your ethics vlad, based on the devs logic, two wrongs do make it right.. I'm surprised they even make their way to the office everyday without incidence.. They let the war banner slide but not this event banner, which in their heads is balanced and fair, but this is hardly the first time devs have screwed up on rewards and have done the wrong thing to "fix" it... Here's a thought for the devs, why not plan an event, stick with what you announce from the start, and then give out the rewards correctly.. Then we wouldn't have a thread like this after every single event... Wow what a concept, doing something that you set out to do, start to finish, without changing things half way through.. Even crazier still, why not just quit with the events, they aren't that special when we are doing 2-3 per quarter.. Good luck to all the big spenders out there.. I'm out
@PRIME why are you angry about devs not being fair? "Ethics in a tap tap game...that's rich" you said that not me.
And yes, before they dealed with similar issues in the wrong way. Now this is the first time when they fix and stop the rewards to slide. I hope this is the new trend. I'm out too.
If I recall correctly, the top 1 or something didn't get it but the top 11 did. The top 1 said let him keep it but give me mine or something long how lines, and then others agreed. So, :| that's how I remember things going down. Should be in the pages of one of the s4 threads after rewards went out. So, last 20-30 pages maybe.
Big reason this never seem to "go to plan"? Players and their inability to ever be satisfied. Devs come out with an event or war season. Immediately there are ungrateful complaint threads and players whining for mostly no reason but to here themselves whine. So devs look through it all and fix what people are complaining about. Then after its all said and done and the change didn't go in favor of some players it's all of a sudden the devs fault and it's the worst season/event to date. I've seen more good come out of threads in which the player, even if complaining, didn't act like a brat and call the devs every name on the book and encourage others to boycott or give bad ratings. Sometimes unfortunately those are the loudest voices. At the end of the day players are going to do what players do best. Before my words get twisted, I am in no way saying the devs get everything right. Mistakes do happen. And normally get fixed. There's just better ways to go about things then acing out like most do. If you ever get to that point then maybe it's time for a big reality check.
These are quotes from the official S4 thread. Page 81 and 82. I shortened up the last quote by fonzy bc it was jut thanks to clans that helped him and was irrelevant to the thread.
Hmmm. Sounds like players basically made up the devs minds... That's stupid because top 10 doesn't represent most of kaw
Cool. Theres 3 of us saying top 100 should get that banner. I can prob get 3 people to say seals should be free. I can get 3 people to say abt anything. Who cares what 3 people think
Agree with acetown, the level of vitriol used by some people is absolutely ridiculous. Do you really think anyone is going to want to engage with you when you speak like that? Maybe other games are the same but the majority of the kawmunity just seem like a bunch of ungrateful, selfish brats. A mistake which saw one person benefit is different to giving hundreds of people the wrong banner. Get a grip on yourselves children.
...i think it's the tone that turns me off the most. It reminds me of a kid throwing a tantrum in public-kicking and screaming. Look, leniency in one instance does not require the devs to forever show leniency in every situation. If you didn't earn a reward, you shouldn't get the reward. If the devs feel it's ok in a specific case, however, they are allowed to do so since it's their game. Can you establish a pattern of this behavior? Or are we relying on this one isolated case?
