My clan Swollen Members has been accused of abusing the war system. Well I'll let you decide. We have system warred regularly since the clan was created. When fighting Estoc wars we sign up with the stats, number of fighters, and BFA most likely to get match-ups. The 3 wars Worms complain about there were around 6 other clans that would've been good match-ups for us. To contrast this the Worm clan was created 1 week after Devs explained how match-ups work in forums. They could've easily got match ups, but instead they dropped build to the point that they were to small to get a match-up. The Devs repeatedly told them to add stats yet instead they got something like 30 no matches. That many VP EBs allowed them to buy the overpowered Mith equipment. Then suddenly they got match-ups. How lucky! Even now when they do get matched up they generally try to keep there stats where they will get incredibly favorable match-ups. So they have a huge advantage. Who's abusing the system? You decide. P.S. I read Worm post claiming its all strategy not match-ups. Well lets prove it. Lets do a regular system war, not Estoc war, so we can control the match-up. Swollen Members vs. Worms. We will match-up both sides evenly and let strategy decide the winner. I promise to fight fair. Just ask asthma your war leader. I was completely fair to her when my clan beat her clan in system war. Hugely favourable matchups?? Our last three wars were: -PoC, stronger than us, -GHC syndicate, much stronger than us (in cs I mean) - A no match. All bad matchups from our POV.
Worm I strongly doubt you were weaker than any of the three clans mentioned. CS would have been approximately equal; while you most like had higher BFA, that was probably not material in your matchup. BFE is the only measure of strength, and I am quite sure you had for more than your opponents. For some silly reason, DEVs initially matched only on CS - far less important than BFE, and for the bigger clans, much less important the BFA as well. Remember at the start of the season where some clans would strip off equipment to try to influence matchup (ROTFL - equipment didnt even count). At some point DEVs made it clear to everyone that BFE was not counted: an immediate explanation for the number of mismatches. Do you really not understand that CS is irrelevant if you have a significant difference in BFE? From KO an GH with all the best equipment can beat a HLBC with EB equipment.
1 more thing. I personally don't think anyone is abusing the system. I think Devs created a system that you either manipulate Match-ups and win or look for a fair fight and lose. So we need to decide if Manipulating match ups for advantage is good strategy and fun, or is it ruining wars? Here are some ideas, feel free to comment if they are good or bad. 1. Make all stats variable, no static stats. This fixes no match problems. You just match-up all variable stats instead of matching 3 different criteria. Also it eliminates players finding ways to use static stats to get advantage. One exception to this rule is pots. Take away the strongest attack and spy attack pots to balance pots out then leave pots as static bonus. This is need to deflate gold in KaW and to allow players to make others lose gold in OSW in ways other than strips. I also believe this will make OSWs more fun. 2. Guild Hansel exploit come from the fact that there are 3 tiers of attack builds that equate to guilds. This guilds have T2 stats, but T3 plunder. This allows them to get huge bully bonus. Simply add T1 and T2 spy building then bump up stats on guilds to the equivalent of a T3 attack build. This should solve your that exploit. Just ideas. Please be constructive. System wars are my favorite part of the game. Lets keep making them better

Hopefully at a will make war so linear that you will never have a choice. Who needs that?! Make sure your stats are x. Make sure you use x mith. Your BFE and BFA are x. You have x allies that are worth x amount and x stats. Your clan count is x. And don't say x to Devs (they may ban you for saying that) and THEN you can war properly without having retribution put on you. Sounds legit.
Agree, just tell us exactly how we can war. Don't bother building a solid algorithm, just complain in forums about people who use the current algorithm. (SHAME ON YOU, ZAFT!)
I agree with charmed, match ups are decided by devs, whether or not the system is fudged or not really is up to them, if someone is smart enough to figure out a loop hole, good on them. Also, zaft from what I've seen have done nothing wrong. Worms, stop spamming forums with your whining, take charmed up on the offer...
I read a lot of post about BFE and why DEV does not factor it in match. I understood from beginning of EE, only BFA and CS are the factor. So I suspected DEV will not factor BFE soon. May be season 2 they will. As for GH
