There appears to be quite a bonus now for KOing the enemy (2-3 each KO). If you fail to KO any enemies though, you barely get back the mith you put in. As a result if you are directing hits you kinda get hosed. So to have a significant MITH GAIN you have to be a top hitter, KO a lot of enemies AND win the war. This is regardless of the mith you put in. My opinion is you should distribute more mith to the players based on hits alone. This being said the war system is getting better and better. The EE bonus is tremendously helpful.
Hypothetical situation. What if 2 clans warring each other had the same plunder? Would it go down to actions, or would it be said as a tie and both sides win/lose EE?
